I love your Heaven & Earth Design called A Place of her Own. It is so beautiful. Can not wait for you to start on the lady outside with that Owl. I love Owls and she looks like she is in the forest to me. I have old eyes so I could never stitch a full coverage so I am going to enjoy watching you stitch on yours. You put in a lot of stitches per month. I am trying to put in 200 stitches a day per project for my Maynia. I started my first SAL and it is called Sweet Summer by Tiny Modernist and I got the first series already and I have not even finished the border yet but I am enjoying it but I don't think I can keep up with it. A Place if Her Own is huge. Beautiful. Definitely a masterpiece. Just encouraged me to finish the Charles Wysocki I started stitching in 1996. It's about 75 percent done.
The detail in the Haeds you are stitching is amazing. I so appreciate their beauty (and your stitching) but know I simply don’t have the patience to stitch them. Thanks for sharing your thought process in selecting a new stitch and in how you decided to order the piece with assorted creatures of the sea. I find it fascinating how different details strike different people and I learn how to better articulate why I’m drawn to some patterns but not others. Hope your needles speed along and you reach your lofty stitching goals and, if you don’t that you have lots of fun trying.

Loving all your progress! Like you I take a long while before I commit to buying a pattern. There is so much beautiful artwork out there but I need to know I’ll love it over a long period of time. Both while stitching and then living in my home forever more ☺️ I recently took the plunge and bought my first haed, it has 288900 stitches! Prior to that my biggest was 44000, now it’s finished the haed has taken its place.

That’s for sure, but it would be a shame to not totally have that one finished. I hope you’ll show us once it’s on the wall too. Be hard for you to show us that one in its framed entirety cuz it will be heavy and hard to wrangle. I’ve only seen one other piece that intricate and it was not that big.

Keep me in mind when you start Once Upon a Fairytale. I’ve had my eye on that chart for a long time. I’ve never stitched a full coverage so it will be my first.
I loved it when you said you like to think about your projects for a long time before you start. I do that!! So much to mull over and ideas running laps in my brain! I feel reassured knowing I’m not the only one. Also, I’m really curious about your gridding and I’d love to know how you’re doing it, because gridding is something I struggle with. Your pieces are stunning
For gridding, I use jewelry beading wire/thread. Horizontally I go over 8 stitches and under 2 stitches. When going under the two stitches there's one hole in the middle. This is the end of stitch 10 and the start of stitch 1 in a 10x10 block. Vertically, my horizontal thread is the bottom of stitch 10/top of stitch 1 in a block. Hope that makes sense!

I'm impressed with all the huge patterns you're stitching. My biggest full coverage is In Her Garden from Dimensions Gold. I I also have Raven Queen, which isn't full coverage, but Japanese Garden is. I have a bunch of smalls to work on when I get burnt out from working on the harder ones. Your finish looks nice.

I love your finishes! They are so cute and they look amazing how you framed them! I've been considering doing Christmas in July stitching myself. I have a Grinch pattern I'm stitching for my husband that I've had waiting of to the side ever since I started it. 😮 Your HAED looks incredible! Honestly, I think Dimensions Gold are harder than full coverage with all their different number of threads and blends! Happy stitching 💜
It does get confusing to remember if it's a full-cross, half-cross, or two three and four threads.
