    Awesome to see that underwater footage, mate. Very interesting. You might like to consider 7" Z Man Jerk Shadz or the Daiwa Bait Junkie shad if you like slow descent - they are both buoyant, and kind of flutter and twitch on the drop. They are also very tough and stretchy. Pity the Abrolhos isn't widely available, as it seems like a very good bait. Hard to get them online if you're outside WA. The Gulp Alive Nemesis (the equivalent that sits in the juice) is deadly in the salt over here in NZ, but much less durable.

      I’ve got more plastics like the Daiwa bait junkies to try but didn’t want to make the vid too long, I’ll do another soon with different lures.
      I’ve got gulps but don’t really want that stinky juice in my pool🤮

    Do you think a 3-6 kg rod is to light for snapper

    • @Saltfix
      @Saltfix  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s probably a little under for big pinks.
      You can land em on light gear but it’s nice to have a bit of pulling power to dictate terms when they get near the boat
      3 kg is light 6 -8 is more reasonable

      Inshore no heavier than 30pd usually sometimes less if the water is really clear
