One thing I am unsure of.. what settings do you have your melee thralls set at? Mine sprint out to meet them so I am thinking it is the chase setting?

My fighers are all set to 5 meters defensive on everything stops them straying to far me 🦆

Hey you mentioned in another video purge enemies don't swim, do they also not climb? And I assume they are unable to use a drawbridge because I never see one of them in purge videos. Cheers!
@@afz902k nope no climbing or swimming me 🦆. But I think a drawbridge might invalidate the purge if it was kept up same an elevator
@@OwDoGaming-kx9jo thanks for your answer! It's quite helpful and I will be testing this stuff out. I've also noticed some other locations with natural roofs that could be used for purge bases

@@OwDoGaming-kx9jo Yep that's what I was thinking. Also adding a teleporter and more stuff above to get more cauldrons.
Pretty good for farming a bit of everything
@@OwDoGaming-kx9jo I did notice one issue though with the spot. Often for me at least when the star caller spawns, they will kill themselves with meteors fairly quickly. I did have one good purge, but got killed while mining the star metal and had issues with things loading to the point that I had to kill the star caller. Wasn't able to mine all the meteors because of how many there were.

Love the idea so I tried it and it doesn't work. Sat here for almost 1/2 hr trying to start a purge but all I kept getting was there was nowhere for the enemy base camp to set up.
Only things I can suggest are try moving your coffer around a bit. Sometimes if it’s too close to something else it can cause problems. Or it maybe your foundations inside might be a bit too high try putting some stairs up to them.

@@OwDoGaming-kx9jo I did eventually find a place for the coffer that would allow the forward base to spawn.Right on the steps to the structures, which isn't really a problem other than the Hand of War spawns inside the steps and is extremely hard to kill to end the purge.
Hey I just spent 10 hours building it and it doesn't work that really sucks now I see other people's comments say the same thing why don't you pull your video off TH-cam because it doesn't work
@@StephenRogers-y2m if you read my first comment try those things. But as @captzool9593 said he got it to work. And as the video shows it works it can just be a little fiddly
Does the star metal hit anything inside as it falls?
Nope me 🦆. The mesh around saves you any grief from the pesky star callers. All the star metal will be stuck all over it. Jobs a good un 👍

The Purge wont trigger, says no reachable location
its such a fickle beast, Try repositioning your coffer could be it a little too close to a wall or other building part
Figured it out. The coffer was fine. It's the distance from camp into base. I built a staircase up to the deck by the tree, and it now triggers it every time.
