Hi Albert & All Track Fans,
This episode is something a little different from the high voltage, high octane driving I normally put together but I think you'll like the experiment. I was kindly given a classic Scalextric track from my best mate Dicky who said if it works, you can have it otherwise throw it away!

Bought the Monza set around the same time- it looks pretty much the same set. Dug it out tonight and it's still in good working order. Bought when drunk in Manchester's Arndale Centre.
I used to have that set! Classic!
Just had this set delivered from my parents to use for my 6yo son (and me!). Currently cleaning the rails to make it go better. Unfortunately, my old cars are in bits and using my son's Start Scalextric cars which seem very flimsy. Hopefully after a clean and maintenance to the track bumps it'll go like a dream.

Ive just resurrected my track from 40 years ago and while I am mainly interested in old cars, I have run a modern TVR and new DeLorean without problems

I used to have and old tyco set with the same f1 cars. The controllers used to smelled awful but I loved it!
These controllers smelt like burning metal and plastic when we held the cars in place and revved up their engines, it reminded me of playing this as a kid 🤘🏻. Thanks for the comment, it's great hearing people's experiences 👍🏻😎
I’ve just picked up one of these from a customers house I was working at..... paid him £25 setting it up tonight 👍👍

My brother just gave me what appears to be that very track. He bought it when he was 13 and is now 64.

@@trackfanstv Im amazed it still works. He left it for me. I left it for his two boys, who left it for their boys then back to me at 59. Its had some propper abuse and still goes with some effort. I can safely say as a family we have had our monies worth from this set.
Maybe just needs a good track clean and a little car maintenance. The problem with scalextric track even the newer type is it just doesn't have that much quality to it. I have both Carrera and Scalextric and the Carrera is just another level.
Carrera does look cool 👍🏻
@@trackfanstv Expensive but good, pros and cons I guess to both. I just have analogue, maybe I will go digital in the future but ARC One and Air do a good job at a reasonable price. Great videos! Keep up the good work!
