    I boiled for 5 minutes, cut out my shoe horns, sprayed it down with Windex and 2 minutes later it was installed. Definitely recommend for P365, makes a big difference.

    Tried to put the Hogue grip on w/o results. I searched you tube and there were several videos with suggestions but yours made the most sense. I stretched the grip then put it in a cup of hot water from the coffee machine and had it on with a bit of effort in 2 minutes! Thanks for the tips!

    Put the grip on top of a water kettle and let the inside get steamed with hot vapors for 30 seconds. It’ll slip right on. A little windex on the inside of the grip will help too (if you use oil, it remains, windex dries off).

    I lightly rubbed some Remington gun oil on the grip. Then worked the Houge on. Took about three minutes. This Handall Grip really makes the gun fit your hand. And the beavertail actually reduces the recoil snap you would feel while shooting it....

    The hogue makes this gun feel SO much better when shooting! I just wish that it didn’t add so much additional width due to the palm swells on each side. If only those Hogue folks could make it thinner left to right... to retain the 1 inch thickness of the gun.

    I heated the inside of the grip with a blow dryer on high heat/speed. I put a towel under and around the grip to trap the heat while doing so. I then stretched it by hand from the top of grip for a few seconds and sprayed the gun grip module down with windex. Working from the beaver tail, I slid it over the grip assembly and pushed it on from the bottom. I then pulled from top and then pushed again from the bottom and had it on in less than two minutes. My box was missing those plastic strips, but they weren’t needed at all. It went on very easily.

    • @DadsGarageDIY

      I bought it that way. I was surprised when I found it. I had a hard time finding the P365 in stock anywhere. Actually, was struggling to find anyone that could order it. I just kept checking Academy and one night they showed it in stock. I thought I would get an email back saying they didn't have it but an hour later I got an email saying it was ready for pickup. I couldn't believe it. I had never seen the grey before. I liked the contrast though. I really thought they were all black. I didn't even see the grey option on their website. I would call Sig. I bet they sell it. Thanks for the question. Please sub and thumbs up. Appreciate you!

      Hi Walter. I. don't think it will. I looked that the Lima and it appears. to go all the way back to the grip. Maybe it could be stretched over or maybe you could notch out the grip. So, I guess there is a chance. For $13 it's worth the try. Good luck sir.

    Doesn’t look too bad at all. I remember when I installed one on my Glock 29 and it was a bear! The Glock 43 wasn’t too bad, definitely a lot easier than the 29. I just ordered this for my P365 so needless to say am pretty happy to see it looks rather effortless.

    I imagine you'd have a terrible time getting a Hogue grip o n the S&W Shield Plus with it's sandpaper like grip, unless using the slick plastic like strips to help it slide.

    • @DadsGarageDIY
      @DadsGarageDIY  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think I have a video on that. They are a nightmare. It's not just the sandpaper. It's also the way they sort of bubble out at the bottom. Getting it started is a complete headache. I tried getting one on a Shield Plus and it split before I could get it on. I switched over to the Talon grips on the Shields. Super easy and works quite well. You don't get the finger grooves like you do on the Hogue but it is still quite nice. I also did a video on installation of that. I appreciate the comment Carolina Patriot. Thanks for this. Good video. Does the additional width added by the grip in any way detract from concealment? The "sand Paper" grip did sort of bother me after 70 rounds or so. My middle finger started to get roughed up a bit. I bought this gun for both plinking and CHP defense.

    • @DadsGarageDIY
      @DadsGarageDIY  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You are very welcome! I don't think it adds much of anything to the width. For me, most concealment issues I have (any gun) come from the end of the frame (magazine). This is a great gun for just about any purpose. It is my every day carry gun. Even the 12 round extended mags you really don't hurt your concealment much. They only add a half inch. And they give you more room for your pinkie. Thank you so much for your question. If you have any others please let me know. Please subscribe if you didn't and please give a thumbs up. This grip does not seem like a good mix if you pocket carry.

      I would agree if you carry in a pocket.

      Like the p365 so much that I ended up trading my Shield 9 2.0 for a Ket Tec Sub 2000 Gen2 Glock 17 version.

    I appreciate the video but please work on your trigger discipline. When you loaded it up and started putting your finger on the trigger of a loaded gun that you did not intend to fire was making me cringe! Full disclosure, I am a firearms instructor full time and would say the same thing to any of my students. Other than that...Good job!

      Thanks Karl. Very much appreciate the input. I will work on that and other aspects of my gun handling. What area of the country are you? Some of my viewers (including myself) would be interested in additional training. Thanks again Karl!

      @@jreynolds388 Butt hurt much?? He broke two safety rules, I pointed it out because he seems like a nice person and I don't want him to experience a negligent discharge. But then again,, no one has ever shot a loved one with a gun they thought to be empty. Right? You know nothing about me but judge me by bad experiences you've had with RSO's at your gun club? Maybe take your own advice and keep your nose out of it.

      @@jreynolds388 Keyword..."Sometimes" yet you lump me in with them? I don't care if someone has been shooting for 50 years, if they break the universal saftey rules, I WILL say something to them. Maybe you need to find a better place to shoot at. You obviously have a deep rooted issue with an RSO and now you judge us all because of a bad experience. I run a very reputable and respected business and work very hard to maintain my reputation and relationships with all my students. I am not affiliated with a range, I show up with my students do what we have to and leave. If I see something unsafe, I WILL say something, other than that, I don't really give a shit how anyone else is shooting!
