You are right. Patta type masala are generally added. I do not know how this recipe came to be. All my sisters leant cooking from my grand mother and mother, but yet they all do things differently. We always added a bit of cinamon, you can skip. Then it becomes like sambar saadam.
Mami it's good but in my house we don't use onion, garlic and other masala items. My mom makes kadamba saadham without using these items and its so tasty. Can you please make in your style?
yes. I think Kadambam made in temples will have traditional vegetables like Vazhaikai, avarai kai etc and may not have the masala items. it will also be tasty but I think the core procedure will be the same. The presentation is also very good, Thanks
