True. Most European Power Metal bands play the European Metal festivals to tens of thousands, but then have to play in clubs or small shitty venues to a few hundred people when they play in the states... which is a real shame. Maiden has really been packing them in on this tour.
I was there! Iron Maiden Legacy Of The Beast Tour 2019 Monday 8/26/2019 Floor, about three rows of people back standing on Dave Murry's side of stage. My favorite band and guitar player ever!
I saw this show in Cincinnati a couple weeks ago. Dave Murray is my absolute favorite guitar player, too. Love all his solos. Just wanted to comment since you said Dave Murray is your favorite! Up the Irons!
@@1962KSR Right on Ken ! 🤘 Thanks for the reply... Agreed, Dave is a brilliant player! Absolutely the best! Cheers... Maiden fans for life, UP THE IRONS 🤘
Thanks for posting this killer show! I was there, but the drunk idiot behind me kept spilling his beer, dry humping everyone within a 2 ft. radius. I was upfront (5 ft. from stage, recording the intro, and he knocked my phone to the ground, by accident,...so no video intro.). These dudes are still Killin' it live!!!
Saw this show in Stockholm June last year. If that was the last show I ever saw with Maiden I would die happy. Saw them first time 1984, so seen them a bunch of times. But more please!!
Great to see Maiden can still sell out big in the state -For a European metal band, that's a rare thing. And btw, Bruce looks so damn cool with long hair ;)
Thanks for posting! Wanted to go to show in Chicago but was sold out. So disappointing. I still see that young Bruce and the joy this band feels on stage
Thanks for posting this. This was a great show. None of my pictures and videos turned out very well, so I thought I'd look to see if anyone posted anything on the Tube, and found this. Again, thanks.
I just realized they cover all the riser and poor Nicko's drum (like we couldn't see him before this) with foliage to give it a little more battlefield look. Goes with the theme of war songs to start the setlist.
Yes they did, 4th and 7th songs on TOUR set list. I traveled over 300 miles to catch this AWESOME show. Worth every mile and every dollar.....would have WALKED 300 miles for this one!
craig lambert I didt see it on the playlkst for this video. Thats why. But good to hear ^^ I think for the greater good of god was the best song when I saw them in here in Stockholm. Snd the whole show was one of the best (watched then live since 1999).
Why is that crowd so low energy and so quiet? This is the quietest crowed I've seen from this tour. For those commenting that they were there, how was the crowd in person? The floor looks very calm.
The crowd was loud... as for the floor... Some were like me, singing, head banging a bit but mainly just watching in awe of the show itself not wanting to miss a thing I was on Dave Murry's side.. Looking over at the middle section it got pretty crazy. It was truly like a sea of Maiden fans crushing into eachother... Overall I would say the vibe was... Controlled excitement from the crowd. Very little crowd surfing which I'm glad.. I think fans including myself just wanted to feel every moment and take it all in.
@@Gauntlet1985 Awesome to hear. It's obviously hard to get the real feel from just one POV of filming, so I'm glad you shared your experience. Great choice of seats, over on Dave Murray's side. That's where I'd want to be, except he tends to want to hide in that left corner sometimes.
@@SomewhereInTheMaidenverse No problem man, glad to share my experience.. it was truly the greatest concert I've ever been to... and that's saying a lot considering another absolute highlight to me was seeing Maiden for the first time live on their Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son your in 1988... They played here at the Met Center in Bloomington MN. The Met Center sadly has long since been torn down, but wow that show was amazing too. Yeah Dave is the best, he's been my favorite guitar player for years. Most of the time when he was playing a solo part, he just leans back, closes his eyes and plays it flawless... A lot of guitar players can play but they seem to strain to play the parts, hands are tense etc . To me Dave plays so smooth its incredible.
@@Gauntlet1985 I'm a chick, BTW 😁, but I agree with everything you said. Seventh Son was my first Maiden concert, too, and I was front row right in front of Dave. Nothing short of magical. Dave has always been my favorite. His guitar tone is like no other and he absolutely loves his job...and it shows. He's a stand-up guy, and so are the others. Irons up!
@@SomewhereInTheMaidenverse Opps.. ok no problem Miss.. 😉 and don't say you're married because then I'll have to come back again and say... Opps.. ok no problem Mrs.. 😊 Ah yes, cheers to us both.. two die hard Maiden fans who know what great music is all about. I sure will miss this band as well as many other bands from the 80's when they retire. Personally there isn't any new bands out today that I listen to. My entire music collection is almost all 70's and 80's bands of metal and rock... None of these modern bands really raise my man fur on my arms when I listen to them like these older bands do.. I'll end here....Thank you for your replies too... It so nice when people can actually get along in the you tube comments section.. it's a rare moment. Lol Long live Maiden !!
I'm in my 40's....I love music...I've heard it all!! Having said that, I cannot name one single song that Iron Maiden is "known for"! Can someone please help me. What is their "go to" song?
Run to the Hills. That’s the last song they closed the show with. A go to album would be The Number of the Beast. That’s the album that put them on the map.
They never got much radio play. That's probably why you can't think of a song. "Can I Play with Madness?", "Run to the Hills", "Two Minutes to Midnight", "Number of the Beast", and "Run to the Hills" might be songs you saw videos for on MTV in the 80s or may have heard on the radio.
@Marcos Colon - here's the deal. Flip on the radio to a classic rock station, I can name the group/song title correctly 90% of the time. I'm on the road a lot...I've had XM radio for years....just so not familiar with Maiden at all! They seem almost "theatrical"....like a heavy metal "play" of sorts? Gotta be honest, all of their songs sound exactly the same to me!! Lead singers chorus doesn't change hardly at all from song to song. But hey, "to each their own"!
I saw Iron maiden twice, once in 1981 or 82, the number ofbthe beast tour and then again in 84 I think...powerslave tour. Bruce sounded terrible back then (at least on the livevshows I saw). Maybe he was drunk or high when I saw him, but in all the later shows, when he is essentially an old man he sounds great. Thats so messed up because you hear all these 8os singers who just can't donit any more. Bruce just sounds better as he gets older. I cant think of another metal singer of that era who can still pull it off even close to Bruce.
One of the few bands left that can sell out a show

@Phil Hughes parking and concessions are the real killers in my opinion. Ticket prices have been at least reasonable (in my experience at least)
Bruce sounds AMAZING!! His voice on Revelations was incredible. He's really on form now.
The fact that they still play Sign Of The Cross gives me chills!
They have truly stood the test of time!
