There has been a big Elvis fan club in England since Elvis began performing live concerts again in 1968. Members would annually travel to America & go to one of his Las Vegas concerts. People would come from all over the world to watch him perform. He was a superstar right up until his death. This concert is 1970 Las Vegas, which I think were his favourite concerts to perform, & he would do two concerts a night 7 days a week for a month, living with all his bodyguards, musicians, manager, etc in the International Hilton itself. Elvis would often change a line or two in a song, like in this one it’s Shove it up your nose.
I must have seen thousands of clips of Elvis over the years of my life-pictures, listened to records, heard all of his songs, watched his movies when I was little. I could certainly understand the appeal, why people loved him. But it wasn't until I saw this video you're watching, a few years ago (and I'm an American, lol-no excuses to not have seen this before) that it all really clicked in my mind. He was an epic showman.
