Great video Sir. I have an issue with My GLS 400 2017. Door is not working but also everything on the door, lights left , right, plate number, viper. Question is: Is that module control the rest of My problems or just control the lock, unlock and lift the tailgate, Please. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks. Best. Val
Yeah, sorry. This occur when I was towing my boat/ about 3t. total weight/ then problem went away then back couple of times. I was able to reset it with delphi program but now is permanent. Thanks again.
Hello I purchased a used module it has some little wires in it even though it looks like the one you replaced in video. Do I need to remove wires? Please help.
Took it to a local mechanic who told me only the dealer can fix this since some recalibration or reprogram had to be done…I think it was $1000 down the drain…..not sure how pissed I was and still am!!!
I have similar issue with tailgate on my 2014 gl350 , I can only close the tailgate, But open the tailgate from inside the car by inserting key in the actuator hole. tailgate button, driver door button, keyfob button doesnt work when tailgate is closed. how to isolate the problem is whether the module or the actuator ? I dont even hear any sounds when I try to open the tailgate that indicates actuator is NOT working to release the lock.
I did the same thing. Replaced the control box . It worked instantly but only once off, I figured that the error is still stored in the memory and will need to be cleared in the ecu????
@@utechup2date482 first try to keep pushing the trunk button and hold it for Few seconds . And if it's still the same then you have to take it to the dealer to relearn it
Just when you take it to the dealer don't mention that you did anything (just say I don't know I didn't do anything😂 ) so they fix it . And I think they are not going to charge you much.
@Abdel Mechanic Hello friend. I have a 2015 ML350, I found the module under the right trim but I can't reach into it to take it out and replace it. Any idea on how to get it out? Do I need to take out that trim and if so could you tell me how please. Thank you @Abdel Mechanic

@@misstea1609 I got it off eBay. But guess what, just go to a euro car shop and have them reprogram your old module. I paid 150 to reprogram and it worked perfectly.
Abdel Mechanic thanks reply my son is auto electrical mechanic so is no problem with electrical is just trim removal wanted get right .. seems liftgate module common fault
Abdel Mechanic yes Thankyou that’s why I asked for tips with trim removal so we check the module part number .. ours is of course a right hand drive and I notice the air compressor bottle is on right side back side panel so maybe lift gate module is on left ?

Just disconnect the wires as I did and replace the module . ( you might have to program the model after the installation)

Mine opens but does not close... I'll try this out thanks.👍🏾
You might just need to relearn it. Open the gate all the way up and then press and hold the close button for about 20 seconds
I didn't think you need to change the model .

I am not sure. I would rather you take it to the dealer if you are not Electro mechanic .
If it was the same . You have to buy the same exactly left gate model part number .
The problem also could be the left gate motor too .
