At the McDonald's I work at, we usually have our trays color-coded so that way we knew what was for which as well as timers for the UBC cabinets. We also used full baskets for the nuggets, too. One thing is we have less grills than you guys do, unfortunately.

Man I also work in McDonald's, in Pakistan. And it's so chaotic here, everybody is screaming and yelling and talking , it's too noisy. It's so quite in your place that this video is like an ASMR

this looks like it was the first drop of the day or after a changeover. the oil is new and the fryers are clean plus all the ubc trays
@@anonymouswriter448it is the first drop of the day, thats why they are taking temps. They only need to do that once per day.
@@trevorbayers2175 you also are meant to take Temps whenever the fryer is cleaned or oil changed which can happen mid shift for changeover
@@anonymouswriter448 the store I used to work in for 10+ years never changed oil during actual shifts. When oil needed changing in the grill area, they’d change it during the earlier morning before change over. So that was never an issue with our store.
I'm surprised Canada is still using frozen Quarter Pounder patties. We've had fresh Quarters for 5 years now here in the USA
I think we are to far from that..hopefully soon..😊

Lol I agree I’m a manager at a Mcdonals and you have yo change your gloves after every use. And not grab basket with used gloves because then your are cross contaminating

You're supposed to use the blue gloves to handle raw meat. There's nothing special about the blue gloves, it's just a reminder so you don't use the same glove that has touched raw meat and then touch other surfaces or ready to eat items.

I'm curious as to why there isn't a pair of tongs kept at the counter where you remove fried items. It seems like every time you need them you have to hunt down a pair. As often as they're used I'd think the fry station would have it's own handy.

this mcdonalds is laid out so different than the one i worked at in highschool, its wierd to see you bouncing around stations so much, we rarely bounced around to other stations

How often does someone check the temperature of the nuggets/mcchicken?
I believe it has to be done 2-3x per day. Maybe more or less but I know it's at least 2x for breakfast and lunch items.
I used to work at McDonald’s long time ago. Now I’m surprised that he has to the plastic glove. Why he has to change the plastic gloves all the time. At my time we don’t use the gloves back in 80’s and 90’s. Can anyone explain about this? Thank you.

food saftey rules have changed a lot in last 30 years. when i was a kid i cooked at a restaurant. we had gloves but wasnt mandatory. waiters made salads without gloves. i cooked without gloves. i washed hands a lot. had to use lotion after work from washing so much. but things gotten stricter. have to change between cooked and uncooked meat. so they use the blue gloves for uncooked meat on top of other gloves so they dont waste as many gloves and to color code them so people know they got different gloves on. lots of other rules too. cant wash hands in a sink used for food prep. timers for how long something can be in the heated prep cabinet depending what it is. owning a restaurant is very expensive with a lot of waste. the mcdonalds franchise owners arent making billions like the employees think. If they lucky they make slightly more than a UPS truck driver.

I love it when i get 2 Quadruple filet o fishes and the fish patties are HOT with xtra tartare sauce X4 but when they fish patties are warm it dont taste as good 😮💨
