His signing bonus was over $8m that he received year 1, minus taxes and agent fees as he said. I think most of this video you viewed it as if he was making $1m that year. The video didn't do a good job explaining that he earned well over $1m his rookie year, and yes even earning $8m he overspent
Patek Philippe or Rolex are the way to go! However what happens if he were to get hurt...Pro athletes going broke after retirement is over 70% if I were him I would take this statistic as a challenge like Rob Gronkowski did!!!! At age 29 he broke the mold and retired with a net worth of 40 million plus! He is now set for life and proving work while your young play when your older. Keep in mind me saying older doesn't mean old! Keep Building everyone!!!!
Gronk made over $20M per year off of endorsements, and he blew all of that. He saved his earnings from his team pay. Not all players, in fact not many players, can do that or even see 20M in a career. Between endorsements and game checks gronk made over $200M and his net worth is only 40M. Not the best margins. That would be like an athlete that made 10M in a career and only saved 1-2M. We would be talking about how terrible they planned right?
Hey Graham, enjoy your videos very much. Swiss guy here, owning a watch business, and well... Patek's iced out actually lose value. I had a friend in high school who had a brother that went pro and his first year he had a knee injury that retired him. This guy needs to be WAY MORE CAREFUL with his first million.
Cap hit and cap value is referring to how much he counts against the NFL salary cap. Which is figured by getting the average of the signing bonus over the years of the contract (up to 5 years) and adding that to the yearly salary. It is a lot more complicated that that by thats the gist of it.
Biggest points at 16:50. Professional athletes can be retired by injury at any time, through no fault of their own. Need to be constantly saving and making safe, predictable investments.

Yup
He better start investing cuz his ass bouta be out the league soon lmao 😂😂😂😂
Dwayne got a signing bonus of 8 million dollars. He makes more then a million in a year. This is just his first million. I still can not believe he spent more then my salary in clothes. 😮
Graham love your videos. Love this "my first million" your videos have changed my life. It's amazing how quickly one can turn thier life around with the proper encouragement.
I’d like to see a cost breakdown of this. I’d also like to see one of the people in millennial money. I can relate a lot easier to the numbers if someone making 60k as opposed to 3.M
Did anyone else notice Graham's grammar changed? "Dont buy no Bentley, don't buy no watch." Lol
I really hope they force players into financial education. It’s so important for players who come from low economic status to learn about assets. He’s doing an ok job. Could be better but, 🤷🏾♂️
his custom art with Scarface and all of the rap artists is dope afff
One day one of those videos will end with
“ hey there, we know you watching Mr. Stephan ! “
Or
“ hope you liked that Mr. Stephan , I learned from you “
8:10
@@WayStedYou ah haaaa
I had a friend in high school who had a brother that went pro and his first year he had a knee injury that retired him. This guy needs to be WAY MORE CAREFUL with his first million.
Ryan Long Beach He made 9 million the moment he signed . Plus he has endorsements . He put 70 % away . I don’t know to me that’s a GREAT start
Dwane one of the most intelligent NFL players out there
I enjoyed the reacts. A lot of good laughs, keep it up. I liked the video
Hey Graham, still waiting for a Q&A video!
Coming soon!
Cap hit and cap value is referring to how much he counts against the NFL salary cap. Which is figured by getting the average of the signing bonus over the years of the contract (up to 5 years) and adding that to the yearly salary. It is a lot more complicated that that by thats the gist of it.
He actually sold the DH chain to Dwight Howard for 20K, so...
So glad you are here to balance out all of the other ridiculousness on TH-cam.
Graham you should react to Biaheza, a 19 year old who just brought their second property
You should look up Carl Nassib, he is also an NFL player all about investing and explains it in a really funny way
"If he can get 15 years out of his career". LOL! Average NFL career lasts 3 years.
Especially for someone with his...um...less than stellar skillset.
Yes analytical breakdown! I like both styles of videos
I feel so bad for his family
I watched this and was thinking I can’t wait for your reaction video to come out.
H&M is overpriced. I get all my shirts from Aldi and Lidl.
it’s frequently a thing in the nfl for vets to run up tabs and make the rookie pay for it. the cap hit and dead cap are related to the nfl salary cap
This aged terribly
Please do more sports/athletes, I love these
The way he’s playing, hes not gonna be making much soon
You mean with coaches in shambles and a team that’s injured and in shambles? Pretty sure if fans know that then the team does too. He’s fine
BINGO
@@SunniMerlot u sure?
Wait until you watch the Will Hernandez video! His first purchase was a bidet, haha!
He shouted out Graham! Did y'all catch that?
"Finance guys watching, I'm being smart Steph"
Am I wrong? :D
This is the Graham we all know and love
He has been cut from the Football Team 😩
i saw this video about 2 days ago, and my first thought was." Grahams gonna love this "
That dude is wearing 4 watches? Excuse me, but wtf
For the different time zones he may be in, depending where the day takes him
Lol 😂
We would like to see a more in-depth video like you mentioned at the end!!!
How i spent my first Million...
IRS: Hold my beer.
Been here since 10k great video 👍
HE GOT RELEASED LOL
Biggest points at 16:50. Professional athletes can be retired by injury at any time, through no fault of their own. Need to be constantly saving and making safe, predictable investments.
Graham I have a question! How does someone join a real estate team/group like you’re apart of?
I’m just here for the algorithm. Stay blessed! 😎👍
