Employing a FA is a complete waste of money. If you invest 90% of that money into index funds, like the SP500, you will do better than 92% to 93% of FA's. And those that do better, is just marginally so. Many FA's make recommendations to bolster their fees, and many customers are satisfied with their returns only because they don't know better.
Who is going to tell Graham that the Triple Doubles his dad was paying him for in Highschool are not „these crazy shots“ ? 😂 It’s alright we still love you 🙏🏻
I thought about applying to one from a top school in the past 2 academic years but every time I feel physical pain looking up the fees. Nah I can wait for another 5-10 years until I may actually need to scale businesses over 50-100 people 🤷♀️
Charlotte’s state income tax is a flat rate of 5.25%. So using Graham’s math after his $17.8 million net income, taking 25% for lawyers etc. that leaves him with $13.3M over 4 years, Then taking the 5.25% for income tax he is left with $12.6M over 4 years which works out to be $3.16M net per annum after taxes, as opposed to Graham’s estimate of $1.6M
Taxes are robbery. Especially here in the US when no one manages our taxes appropriately and it gets wasted. It’s not like our tax money actually goes to things like healthcare or education. It gets completely wasted. And billionaires find ways to pay hardly any taxes 🤷🏽♀️
You should do a review on someone like Shaq or LeBron who has made their millions and reinvested. Like LeBron one billion Nike deal or Shaq 1000s of restaurants. I'd love to see your take on how they set themselves up for success

No it’s not. He spent 15k on a custom chain that’s practically worthless to other people. And nobody cares about who owned it unless it’s a massive worldwide icon.
Wow definitely spending a lot of his check! Nice of him to take care of his family but to not go overboard with the gifts. I wish the best for him in the league and for a good financial future!!
The estimates for agent and lawyer fees are way to high. In the NBA, it is a max of 4% of contract value, and the agency also provides the legal services. For rookie contracts like this one, it is like 1%. Most agents don't even charge commissions on rookie contracts to get the business. The real money for agents is the second contract, and endorsements which have higher commission rates. PJ has a Nike deal, and possibly a couple others. I'd say his net take home is closer to around ~$2.8M.
In some cases it's actually better to buy the car new. In certain types of cars such as BMW, Mercedes, sports cars , exotic cars, etc. Buying it used will actually cost more in the long run being their constantly having issues being you don't know how it was treated by the previous owner. Also getting a new car you can get a warranty and other things. If your going to get a nice car and have the money. Buy it new. If your just gonna get a Honda or something then yeah get it used.
Tyler k that would make sense but you didn’t account for how he is with cars. If you gonna keep a car for years and years new would be better, but only for a reliable car. If you are gonna buy a car and only drive it for a few years used is better. Used cars can still come with warranty also. You might even be better off leasing some cars and saving because you don’t have to worry about depreciation like with a BMW. But yeah the car brand and the model itself should play a big factor on your decision as well.
