    I enjoyed how you went beyond the desk setup and talked about design principles, color, art, hobbies and even Feng Shui. These are definitely inspirational ideas I’ll take for my own. Absolutely Top-tier desk setup video once again, well done and thanks for sharing with us!

    Great video. Most Desk setup videos don't go nearly as in-depth regarding design considerations, particularly colour. Very appreciated.

    LoZ is the most perfectly designed game series out there - Ocarina of Time struck such a chord, as did Majora's Mask and the BotW and TotK. My personal (an rare) favorite is Windwaker though... My god, the freedom of island hopping, finding a new island on the horizon, never knowing what to expect... What a game.
    Also - kudos on all your perfectly crafted videos. Best desk setup guy out there.

    I think it would give harmony to consider replacing the cable trunking with new skirting boards that are designed to be cable ducts. I have some at home and it really makes things invisible.

    The wood you are rubbing your hand over and referring to as Maple is actually Oak and doesn't have a smooth grain at all. The table with the triangle top, same..It's Oak.

    Every time you sit in your chair you are raising your heel on your tip toes. That doesn't look like a comfortable way to work for extended periods of time. I get that you have a standing deal for when you inevitably get unconformable from this setup. I get that it would add clutter under the desk, but wouldn't you benefit from something you can rest your feet on?

  • @shawnkan7157

    i feel like the black is alittle too overpowering. It turns a light colored setup into something in the middle of the color spectrum. I think its the black window. Thats what's throwing me off.

    Gorgeous stuff, liking *ahem* harmony between all the pieces and thanks for the recommendation of James Jean, looking through I /love/ his work and I'll have to find some excuse to buy many many things from him.
    I know that it's not the sexiest part of these projects, but I'd love to get a bit more detail on the cable management and what it's like living with something so tightly managed - what happens if you want to move/add something to the setup? A lot of these youtube/IG setups look gorgeous but just aren't practical for actually living and working in

    • @AndrewEthanZeng
      @AndrewEthanZeng  ปีที่แล้ว

      Love that you love James Jean!
      Yeah it's a good point and I agree, finding the balance between a practical + aesthetic setup is difficult. For me it's about cable management and meticilous storage, which converting a condo into an office has plenty of. Noted on the video idea :)

  • @TR6-2.0
    @TR6-2.0 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Love the video - it flows nicely, is pleasant aesthetically, and gives a good look into your space.
    In terms of advice - I noticed minimal sound absorptive material, meaning the padded seat is the only non-reflective item in the space. Seeing hard walls surfaces (glass windows, drywall/sheet rock wall, hard desks) equals sound bouncing around for longer periods of time, so when playing music or speaking, you end up absorbing that energy. Recommending soft furniture to help absorb/dampen the sound, like rugs, couches, curtains, art.
    Thank you, again for an awesome video and for leaving space your audience to suggest improvements.

    Beautiful light space. So glad I've seen this. In the process of changing my spare room into a office, had the colour scheme the same in my head but the way you've put everything together has inspired my design process so much. Classy, cosy and tasteful. Big up for this.

    This video really showed seamless harmony from incorporating color palettes, Feng Shui placements, to items and symbols that boost productivity and creativity.
    You showed a snippet of automated lighting for nighttime. Would you be able to do a video for a smart office or home showing the contrast between day and night (work/relaxation)? If you have a gaming setup as well that would be great. Thank you!

    Love your post, but it annoys me that most desks in videos like yours use moving up/down desks. It is simpler, more elegant, cheaper, and less risk of mechanism break-down when you get a (fixed) tall desk and a tall chair instead. That way you can stand to work and when tired, you sit down on the tall chair. Why people don't think of this?
