I am going to light a candle with his picture by it in rememberance of him. He was one of my heroes. One of my lifes dream was to meet Nelson Mandela! I'm sad I could never meet him but I will celebrate his life tonight by lighting a candle in his memory! I wish you well on your journey! You are among the great ones who have also done much for human rights!
Kuesta 2013.. I got the chance to watch this performance... great Work guys!! It was also nice sharing the stage with you guys!! These things never die!!
Happy birthday Madiba! Thank you for bringing this beautiful song into the world. Warmest birthday greetings for you all with love from the Netherlands.
...our choir is simply the best. I love the video, I can't believe how beautiful our campus actually is. The film guys did a topnotch job. Bigups to everyone involved...and a big big ups to the man behind the inspiration...uTata...
This is really beautiful NMMU, with all that is happening in our country I really wish I could use this song for a greater good project that will help promote "UNITY"... More than anything thank you for doing this project and sharing with us as a reminder of how beautiful our country is!!!
Go NMMU! Top of the line and first class! Love your flash mobs too! I return to this video so much it's way fun and hard to pry away from...so well done. Love this! Keep up the great music!
BEAUTIFUL.♥I have Shivers just Listening to these Students Voices, joined together in TOTAL & COMPLETE Harmony. :-) An International-World Standard Choir. Keep up the GR8 Work & Thank You for Uploading this. :-D
As a Welshman and as an ex member of the Welsh Guards Choir (Bottom Bass), I loved to be a small part of such a beautiful sound. Later, I saw in London a musical called 'Ipi Tombi' and was so blown away by the sound of South Africa I eventually saw the show 13 times! Since then. The early 70's, I have loved the sound and this choir are outstanding. PS if you want to see a brilliant A3 drawing of Nelson Mandela go to natashasportraits on Instagram and leave a comment....Winnie Mandela loved it!
I accidentally stumbled on Steve Hofmeyer's "Die Stem" and was so disgusted with that Gomtor. Then I clicked on this performance. I am so proud of you all! What a wonderful experience to watch the youth of our country not only in love and harmony, but also in achieving quallity music. I love you with all my heart. JULLE IS MY MENSE. Jammer ek kan julle nie daar almal 'n stywe druk gee nie. Mag julle en jul kinders die wenners van hierdie mooi land word. Hettie
Hi @Barbara Hallman, no the sheet music is not available since the medley was compiled by and for the NMMU choir. We put it together ourselves, and also worked out the choreography, so we thus have nothing on paper, as is usually the case with traditional medleys. Regards.
This performance by the NMMU Choir is 100% representative of our most beautiful South Africa and our people. Set time aside, get you tickets today at Computicket, South Africa and see these talented, vibrant youngsters in action at aCHOIRed Taste - beKOOR 2016 on Satuday 13 August 2016, at GrandWest Arena, Cape Town ---- ONE night only. Visit www.achoiredtaste.com. See you there.
