What a nice project! It was great having the camera focused on your project while you were describing the work in progress. I learned a lot. Thank you🙌🏼

Love this!! Now I have to watch it again and take notes!!
I slumped stringers on an "S" mold, they turned out great and it was a quick schedule!

Absolutely gorgeous! I enjoy your videos and end result. I have been fusing glass for about 1-1/2yr. My first project was beautiful--but I mixed COE, LOL! Lesson learned. I have learned many of little tips from you. I am pretty much self taught from experimenting, TH-cam videos, and magazines. As soon as I can afford it, I want to join your wall of flame!

Thanks for sharing this beautiful project, Lisa! I’m wondering about the base… Did you pre-fire the glass circles before adding the frit flowers on top? And was it created with two circles of clear with different colored powders in between. I haven’t done that before, so I’m curious. 😊

Great question. It’s 2 layers of glass. The base is opal blue. The second layer is clear glass. There is green powder frit between the two layers. It was not fired before the assembly you see in the video.

Amazing! I have a similar question to the one above. I think you said that you used green frit on top of the blue glass then the clear sandwiched on top? It didn’t look fused at that time? Then the white flowers on the top of the clear glass? If I’m accurate then my question is won’t the green frit between to full pieces cause bubbles?

Great question! the green is sandwiched between the two layers of glass, I used powdered frit to help eliminate any air bubbles, I haven't had any issues with bubbles using this method. I'm sure if you used any courser or bigger sized frit you may have bubble appear. I hope this helps!

How did you keep the frit from moving around before it went into the kiln? It seems so fragile to move.

Projects like this one I will construct right on the kiln shelf and when its completed I will brush off the excess from the shelf and move the whole thing to the kiln. I also hold my breath! lol
