It's such a beatmutiful harvest hymn.. we will be singing it on Sunday.
As a child and teenager my foster mum Joane would sing a version of this whenever we were doing chores in the house or around the farm. She would burst out singing at the top of her lungs with "doing the dishes Lord, doing the dishes, working for your glory Lord, doing the dishes". She would insert whatever job we were doing for example making the beds, feeding the animals, mowing the lawn, pulling the weeds, making the tea/coffee, milking the goats, etc
It was always a reminder that whatever we did we could do it the best we could, as if serving God just by going about our day and praising Him at the same time. We could see God work in our lives and be grateful for all we had. God provides for us, He knows what we need we just have to remember to ask Him.

Awesome video Rosemary! Have seen most of your videos since since 2018. Appreciate the investment by your parents in you. You are truly blessed. Am grateful for this rendition along with the farm footage.. a bonus! I think this video is a complete package. I never found a rendition of this I really liked. Now I have! I look for things like harmony, rhythm, Holy Spirit inspiration, heartfelt singing, pronunciation of words and such. Played in school band, community band, (baritone sax/baritone horn) sang in choir for number of years. Was worship leader about 6 years at a previous church. I appreciate when I find something of quality and this rendition has joy in it too. Your family with you on this video is a bonus. It makes it a complete package. Nice to see Jonathan again. Since I never found a rendition of this I liked, I never listened all the way through. I never realized that in addition to the physical harvest, this hymn also includes us as we are God's spiritual harvest. It brought tears to my eyes. I got emotional. I listened to it 3 times before going to church and at least 5 times when I got home. Listened to it at least 8 times today. :-) Its on my my liked list now. :-) Nice to see when you play with Mom in the interlude and Dad is there too. Have yet to hear Eli singing.. hint, hint. Appreciate your entire family. The last time I had a good hymn sing was at our pastor's fathers funeral as he liked the old hymns. He knew where Plum Coulee was too and had been there. Bring Back the Hymns!!
