- In this video we do what many said cannot be done, and that’s by putting stepside fenders on a fleet side bed to make a homemade dually.
This is also Episode 8 of our ongoing homemade mega cab series, but it was deserving of a dedicated episode.

Thanks for watching!
I love being a part of channels that fully haven’t blown up yet. This guy is well on his way to the top. Keep up the good work sir
Glad you like it 👌
She’s just looking better and better by the second. Can’t wait to see her painted.
Started the prep work hopefully colour soon
Love it. You did a good job on the dually fenders. Gave me many ideas. I'm basically doing the reverse as you on my build. I'm shortening a f350 4x4 and building a custom shortbed stepside.
That’s going to look pretty sweet when it’s all done
Looks like about 4 or 5 trucks made in to one! I like it!
Yes sir haha 😂 I just did a quick count there and technically there is 9 trucks in it total haha 😂
Man I hope you get more views your content deserves it. Thank you for showing us your work
Someone needs to show this beast to Rich @ Deboss Garage, you know he’s gonna wanna make a video driving this beast, and once that happens he will blow up.
I like that plan haha, Rich taught me a lot over the years haha 😂
Hey i appreciate it 👌
The front hub you can knock off a 1 ton and bolt the ones already on truck
I have a bead on a set currently, unfortunate the 2wd ones are cast into the rotors
I'm loving the build so far. Also tell your folks I says hi! 👋
Will do!
DD’s Speed shop? Mint👌
Mint 👌
Only guy in salt country to cut out non rusted wheel wells lol, looks gnarly though
Haha 😂 not wrong there haha 😂
Hehehe that flat earth comment, slick sir, good en
Haha 😂
Its looking really good 👍. Another great video.👍👍
Glad you like it 👌
Nice job
Thanks it turned out pretty good 👌
Sure
Im 6 hours late but watching now
28:55 you are making this happen man!!! I wish I knew how to weld lol
100% would take it up, it opens a whole new world of projects haha
Great video as always Colt! Man I love this truck. All the hard work is paying off. Who need a gym membership when you can just wrestle some military tires haha. I'd love a set like that for my slotted rims for my truck. Keep up the awesome content Colt! I'm looking forward to the next video as always. Cheers
Yes sir I appreciate it 👌 so far so good, I’m really hoping to lay colour to it in the next 10 days
love it!!!
It’s growing on me too haha 😂
Thought I was watching an episode of The Red Green Show
Sick build. Are you planning on soundproofing it?
Yes, and insulation too
Love this build! When’s the next video coming?
This Friday hopefully, wanted this video to have all the main paint work in it 👌
@@highostablegarage Heck yeah, looking forward to it!
why am i only suscribing to this today
No idea but thanks for joining 👌glad you like it
Hahahaha 😂, you gotta ship DD SPEEDSHOP some Sussex Gingerale bud!😅😅😅
Haha 😂
You have to remember, your time is worth money. If you were gonna invest that much time into fenders I think you should have looked into maybe some dodge mega cab dually fenders? Think those style of dually fenders would have made your factory body lines easier to deal with?
I do wanna add, awesome work you have accomplished! Truck does look good even in the rough draft.
How to do it with out a welder? You mean the correct way shave the fender and you can even make it look good in something other than white
What is the tire size on those x-line tires? I have a bullnose dually and she needs some tires on er, I got some pretty good ones on my parts truck that I put on but they’re pretty wide and the small gap between them makes me a little nervous.
Can you convert the front to a dually front or is it actually a different with like the rear are
Easy to convert but ford actually used a 6 inch spacer per side it’s nuts haha 😂, so you have to find the spacer. Dana 60 and 50 ttb are virtually identical on the outlets so the main axle body isn’t an issue, just rims hitting the calipers
Ya gotta watch the tire spoon you don't have a hand on. Misguided missile sorta
Learned that lesson a few times already haha 😂. Bystander beware haha 😂
@@highostablegarage I have a notch in my check near my eye from one . Was completely loose til tire rolled back over bead and got me
Im late… like really late
Don’t worry the next video is coming this Friday 👌
Too much work just to have dual wheels
A lot of guys buy the dually pickup even though they don’t need it because they like the look but man do they cry when they have to buy those two extra tires. A dual wheel pickup is good if you have use for it but some guys never use their trucks for work. I see that and I say to myself what a waste of a dually. I’ve come to the conclusion for those guys it’s an ego/attention thing and nothing more
No different than driving a sports car or buying a fancy house, just because someone likes something doesn’t mean anything haha 😂
@@highostablegarage big truck usually means big ego big attitude. You try and ask questions or compliment the owner they get all defensive like they want to fight..
