Glendevon Upper Reservoir has lost its water

In 1955 the Glendevon upper dam wall was built and a whole farmhouse and its estate were flooded and thought never to be seen again. However with the dry summer this year in Scotland the dam has run dry and loads of old history has been exposed for the first time in many years. Today we went to investigate the area and its buildings

It is what its supposed to do - as the top of the chain of reservoirs it drains down to maintain the level in those below
