Man sir, that brought back memories. 1965 as apprentice we travelled one day from Cupar to do work (don’t remember what). The chargehand took with us in the back of our VW pickup his ‘racing’ Bantam. After job completed we stopped on the way down, just at that first few trees and cottage up from the entrance . Off came the bike , away back up the road he went. We waited and waited with growing impatience ,till a figure pushing a Bantam appeared. Bike very scratched rider minus some skin and BLOOD, and quiet . A silent run home ensued. As an aside he entered in the very last St Andrews West Sands race, I was apprentice pit mechanic. He wasn’t placed but it was a nice day with a huge number of spectators lined up. (Eat your Heart out ‘The Open). Never been back up I The dam since then. Top. Dam was on spillway level then i was commandeered to row the chemists out to obtain samples.

Just me mate. Love people ,like to see folk going about ,a wave ,hi, the weather, but, i am not comfortable in crowds. Would rather be alone at the top of a hill somewhere. My initials are ARC, while it’s in me to be helpful (sometimes to much) if at a party or something you’d find me washing dishes anything just to be on the sidelines away from the pressure of people . So love of history ,life in general ,I looked for a pseudonym to suit moi,something to use my initials too. So Gothic structures used flying buttresses to support the main mass and spread to load from the sidelines, help the greater good as I like to do in life. The French for these is arcs boutant . So with artistic adjustment and preferring low case always there you have it.

Nice to see the drone footage, I was their on Sunday with my son. We hiked up from Blackford. Unbelievable to see how low it was .
