Thank you, I had taken apart my cheap airbrush to clean it for the first time and a piece I hadn't seen before fell out. It wasn't a 1:1 match with this video, but it was close enough to guide me to getting it back together. You saved my evening!

The cheap airbrushes are nothing but hours of frustration and will make you hate airbrushing. If you have the money buy an entry level high quality airbrush. You'll notice the difference and enjoy airbrushing.

Great work explaining all that! Just wish this was up year and a half ago. Best regards!

Best airbrush service video I've seen. And I looked hard to try to understand these wonderful tools. So I had to go into discovery mode for some internals. Sort of like a monkey on a football. Your artwork and tutorials are second to nobody. I can't imagine anything but success headed in your direction! Yes, it did help even now. So thank you!

That maintenance kit is huge! If only for the nozzle wrench and the plastic coded hand wrench. I would be interested in knowing what we can do to make it even better.

Yep it’s a great kit and those coated wrenches are so handy as well as the nozzle wrench , as with everything iwata it’s not cheap but in my opinion well worth the $ 👍🏻

I have the same airbrush. What size air hose and quick connect do I need to fit? Thanks

Will a novice do better using quality airbrushes ? I really got frustrated by my cheap one. I did learn about how to use a double action, proper mix many videos,,,ordered a Paache....Would a average user need to fully take apart these for cleaning ?

Please explain why on the new cm-c plus and CM-SB airbrushes, air also escapes from the connection of the body to the base of the nozzle head and the nozzle head cap. It doesn't affect the result, but it may be abnormal. Airbrushes bought recently, perhaps something I do not know about them. Specialized pliers will help solve the problem, if it is a problem at all?

    '... can see it's a .2mil '
    *With an obviously bend tip
Those cheapie needles are made from really soft stainless steel.
I harden mine by heating it with a micro torch until it's glowing, dip into cup of cool water, sand off the oxidation, heated it until it turned blue, air cool, then polish it up with 5k grit sandpaper and 10k polishing paste.
Be careful with this operation- the tip is so fine that it could melt off or sag off center.
When one is poor, options are limited.

Great spotting with the needle bend and yes, they are softer than usual thanks so much for the tip I’m sure lots of viewers will find that helpful and give it a go but with extreme caution 👍🏻🤞🏻

Can you put a iwata needle into this cheap brush?

I bought that exact airbrush and I have to say.....it's a piece of crap!!! In this case, you really get what you paid for.
    Great video.
I never airbrushed before I bought this one, I should've spent the money and bought a good one.

The cheaper brushes are hit and miss and as I have mentioned in all the vids showcasing this brush it’s basically a cheap way to get involved in the hobby but if you plan to take it seriously then I would always recommend a name brand as you do get what you pay for 👍🏻😉

Seals and needle tip failed after 4 uses with good cleaning after with master g22 bundle off Amazon that I've had for a week. $160 more later I have iwata eclipse hpcs coming tomorrow. After tearing the $20 master apart no wonder it's $20!

There's another video on this same airbrush where the guy paints with it and It's not great but its ok. Then he takes it apart and puts beeswax on some parts and polishes the needle and he paints with it and it painted almost as good as hes iwata.. Great video

Thanks for the comment and I have heard that polishing the needle and beeswax are great to make this cheaper brush perform better 😉

I like the toolkit, but every time I look at the price I am always disappointed that it never comes down in price. Seems very expensive.

    • @AirbrushAsylum
      @AirbrushAsylum  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I know they are pricey...but well worth the $ to have everything you need all ready to go 👍🏻

Many thanks , yes I agree these cheaper brushes are hit and miss that said ‘my one’ surprisingly has been ok ....it’s not as good as a branded brush but if you are just starting out and not sure if you will enjoy airbrushing then it’s a cheap way to give it a go...if you like it then you can always upgrade but if you feel airbrushing is not for you then spending $20 is better than $100+ for any name brand 👍🏻
