We take the week of Christmas and the following week off of school. In the month of December we do Christmas morning basket and then a small Christmas unit from Campfire Curriculum in the afternoons. We will continue science and math curriculum with writing reports and notes from our Campfire Unit.
This is just what I needed to hear! I am so excited about school and have what feels like endless ideas and plans but I’ve noticed my brain drifting off a few seconds and thinking I know I can’t carry this level of energy all year. Especially when the days are short and very cold in February but then I block out that thinking and get excited again with what we are doing. This makes such perfect sense about the ebbs and flows and it was so nice to hear because even though I know I do that, I am constantly beating myself up. You gave me hope and a plan to work through it. Thank you so so much! I also LOVE your Wonder Studies, it’s my first time and it really makes our mornings so fun, even I learn so much! You have drastically changed homeschool for my girls and me and I cannot thank you enough!
Your magic numbering is such a blessing! I love it so much. Last year I even took a week off to clean just cause I could! I sound like such a fun mom. Haha

I definitely schedule more breaks toward the end of the year and less in the beginning. ... following my energy level.
