Thanks for this. I have had 4 different EGRs now. Luckily the garage I am using is a decent BMW specialist so only charged me once. He is a clued up guy but this fault has him baffled and has never had a similar issue. I have also had a full software upgrade. However we are still getting the same fault- A mechanical EGR fault, saying EGR stuck closed and at the same time stuck open!? Could this be the issue. What is the exact part causing the issue and what’s it know to mechanics as? My car is a 2011 520d. Any help would be much appreciated. As next step would have to be main dealer. Cause he can see the egr working but the car is saying it’s not.
I honestly don't agree, the engine operation diagram was created with functional EGR present, the cancellation of this component leads to a different operation of the engine compared to the one thought by the manufacturer because they paste the data provided by the sensors that are part of this system as well as those which are closely related.
Hey in video was the actuator rod completely seized as I tried to move mine wile on car and did not move, also what is the cause of flap not moving, thanks
@@INAPVBG mines is the actual solenoid but it goes in closed position basically disabled so I don't care lol but if I clear code it goes back normal for wile

do you recommend closing the erg valve and normal software shutdown, so that you never have a problem with it again??

Ty for the tip, know i know its because the broken leg when i replaced the egr
it is a separate part, there is no need to replace the EGR Vacuum capsule with return spring 11718511638
