    Super Video ... you can see that you are not used to ride this machine. When you turn you still try to "hang" with you body ... 10 years ago I did the same ... :-) ... Now I have got 10 years of intence experience and I would not change my machine for an other. My Russian is SUPER ... on-road and off-road ...

      I love it too, but can't afford it! Still over-priced considering the build and lack of features.

    The latest 2023 versions are much improved on this model due to a big financial investment, and new development over the past 10 years. What some people call "Frightening", others would call "Exciting, and they would swap the word "Dangerous" for "Interesting" 😁

    The main reason Urals have a sidecar is to carry a mechanic and spare parts for when they break down :>)

      Yeah, but this is simple "Back to Basics" engineering which we just don't see anymore. If you don't have a "Local" Dealership nearby, then you are pretty much "Stranded" These bikes were built for far out of the way places, where you had to fix it yourself. The way "Bikes Used To Be" I think this is why this machines now have an almost Cult following in the Northern USA and Canada.

    This guy is not old enough to remember side-car outfits. I saw a lot of these back in the 1960's (mainly british) and the one thing that always puzzled me was, if they got a puncture, how did they change a tire? Did you use a Jack, as the Centre stand on such a bike was pretty useless on such a setup.

    • @gunfighterzero
      @gunfighterzero 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a ural, the center stand is quite useful for changing the rear wheel but most people do carry a small scissor jack for changing the sidecar wheel

    the intro was hilariously accurate lmao, i cant believe what russia is trying to sell these for to the rest of the world, but its basically a zombie apocalypse bike. ive ridden a few of these, its a piece of shit that lasts forever basically. its the fastest bike in the motherland if you are daring enough lol, and allthough its air cooled, they just keep going with 10,000 mile (questionable) oil changes and carry lots of weight, no fucks given what kind of octane fuel or any of that shit

      I had a couple of sidecar outfit when I lived in UK Triumph T110 with Gerrard GP chair BSA Super Rocket with Watsonian Monza chair.I never had many solos past me on the rain, especially on left and right hand bends, never even put weight in the chair,this guy is making it look like sidecar outfits are hard to drive.

    Ukraine also produces sidecar bike called Dnipro MT wich is pretty much same thing as Ural. And i tell you this - nobody here (in Ukraine or Russia) ever buy this bike. We all know very well how bad it is, and how cheaply it assembled.
    It really makes me giggle someone actually want to buy this junk in countries like UK or USA where they have strong motorcycle market with tons of great options.

    • @JamesAllmond
      @JamesAllmond 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Russians and Ukranians can't get past what they were, as you so plainly stated...fine, more for us. By the way, many in the US used to say the exact same thing about Harley-Davidson that you all so strangely revere over there. I don't now, but that one that I use as my Avatar has 80K (50K in American) on her and runs just fine...and the wheels are round and everything, like a real motorcycle.

      Ucrain does not produce cider cars anymore. Dnepr went bankrupt more than 20 years ago. Modern Urals are more than relyble and we'll made bikes. The down side of it is its price. One can get new old stock Ural made in yearly 90's with just a few miles on it for under 2 k usd in Russia. New one will cost 11k minimum, but they are different bikes.

      I have 3 Urals. 1995 was junk, but everything could be fixed, now has BMW engine. BMW engine blew up, Ural stuff fine... 84K on my 2011 Ural (my avatar), like it so much just got a 2015 and it appears to be a bit better quality than even the 2011. You can buy 2 Urals in the US for the price of a fully dressed HD or Indian, if you want a good new sidecar for a new HD or Indian add another $10,000. So for us if you want a sidecar Ural is a good deal. About Dnepr, rode one 2500 trouble free miles in Russia last summer. Yes, an American wandering around Russia, with some Russian friends, on a Dnepr. A Dnepr is what one puts into it.

      i've looked up at bikes they selling you and it seems like there are lots of parts like disk brakes and brembo calipers that never existed on models sold in Soviet Union.
