I learnt with Aquacity Freediving down on the Lizard (I’m in Helston) and you can also right now get a start for the season doing a pool course with Blue Embrace Freediving - they are based in Truro at the moment doing evening sessions. With BE you could then do the ocean part in the summer. Both amazing providers and lovely supportive people to learn with… I dive with both clubs, there are so many of us here and growing all the time!
