The A380 is an impressive feat of engineering and a marvel to see flying. Graceful for it's size. But the 747 has those iconic lines that just set it apart from other airliners. It will always be the "Queen" of the sky in my eyes.

I took my first flight on a 747 back in 1980 and loved it immediately. It was a PAL flight between Hong Kong and Manila. Successive flights had been with Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, China Eastern, Cathy Pacific, Malaysian Air Systems, and China Airlines, to destinations including Beijing, Singapore, the Maldives, Shanghai, Taipei and Kuala Lumpur. The 747 was such a great and beautiful aircraft it is not easy to think of an alternative. I did travel on the A380 a couple of times though. Found it also a very good plane to fly in. However, first impression wins.

I really like the shape of the wings on the 380 over the 747 but the overall design of the 747 makes it more aesthetically pleasing. Nationality not withstanding I favor the 747.
747 is a legend and great freighter. The A380 is a smoother, more comfortable focused airplane. It was more efficient than 747s, but the 747-8 came out.. really was a great update to the 747. Can't go wrong with either.

yes the Iron Maiden is very interesting but I love the tortoise or turtle A380 of ANA much better, actually cute, so it wins! Other than that, I have never flown the A380 but flown the B747 many times, I can not decide between the two of them. I love them both the same. Martin it was a wonderful video again, loved the two planes way up high (with the contrails). I didn't know that we have that many B747s at Düsseldorf.
For model collections, consumer satisfactions, majesty and significance to aviation, I prefer A380. For the practicality, operating cost and airline companies, I prefer Boeing 747.
