You have taught me SO much 🥰👏👏👏👍 and I did coasters underneath in the pour drips, beautiful, gold, black and hot pink 🌟 thank you so much 🌟
Gilly, when I pour paint on glass, the area that doesn't cover I just touch it with my finger to get it to move down the glass. Works great. As always I enjoy watching you. Glad John is doing better. Will continue to keep you both in my prayers. It's always nice to praise the caregiver. People forget that they go through the illness also. Stay strong, your doing a great job with art and hubby. 😉

So lovely to watch the paint cascade down the vase...the purple that came through is so nice and some blue at the top.. very nice.. Oooh.. your painting is fascinating to look at..I must admit..my hand was itching for some balloon kisses..I thought you may have been tempted.. Both stunning pieces

I loved the first piece you poured over. I'll bet some resin would have made it pop, but your second was nice, too. When I pour on vases, I make my own paints thicker or use the leftovers I have that are getting thick. Hope you and John are taking it easy. ❤️🕯

Wonderful vase pour! I actually love how the blue is there, but in very thin lines. It looks very effective, Gilly! It's a nice matching painting as well. I adore that gold as well. The people that were buying our house have pulled out at the last minute! 🥺 So we will be here a bit longer now, looking for another buyer. So disappointing! I'm happy to hear John is doing better. Oh no 🙈 how dare they 😮 not to worry another buyer will come along very soon! Trick is to not allow Realeastate agent convince you to take it off the market until the contract is unconditional. Agent must continue to show your home until you have unconditional contract! It wastes so much time and gets people into trouble financially when this happens, certainly feel for you as I know how disappointing the situation can be. I’m sure you’ll sell quickly again xx
Gilly, another trick of old people's is, when trying to open a small bottle cap, use your old time nut cracker as a vise for gripping the cap. Works well for arthritic hands.
It's a shame all ready-to-pour paints aren't the same consistency ~ I would've expected they would be!? I wonder if, after the vase dried, perhaps pouring a clear gloss coat over the outside would keep the colors nice & bright as when they were wet? I notice that looking inside, the glass itself provides that shiny look, but from wrong side (unless your a flower inside). It sure is pretty! So glad to hear hubby is doing better. I am a "sticky viewer". For sure! 🤗

My guess might be the vase prep. I thoroughly clean my vases with isopropyl alchohol before pouring, making sure not to leave any oil from my fingers.

On the glass what happens with the rim when you take it off the plastic cup? Do you have to file it smooth?
I use acrylic paint maker to add gold or silver rim, if it needs a light sand you can certainly do that 😊

I tried pouring over an earlier pour and it was a disaster. It dragged all the old paint off the glass. Maybe the first pour was still a bit raw.
