I live in Ohio and it's literally unbelievable the critical thinking skills of such a huge part of our undecided voting electorate. They get their news from word of mouth or social media and have no ability whatsoever to think independently and that's not an exaggeration! Not objective at all, which pissed me off (such a naive boy).... I even yelled at the pollster that they were ASSUMING I had a problem with a particular candidate or policy (I don't remember now). They just continued asking their questions which were obviously geared toward getting a particular answer, and I just hung up.
Otherwise, I NEVER get contacted by pollsters. Who even answers strange calls anymore? So I'm very skeptical of polls now. I think anybody conducting a poll can get the answers they want depending on where they direct the questions.

The electors have all been bribed and they control the election, not you people. DO you people believe in democracy? Enough to fight and possibly give your life? IF not, you are worthless to the cause and are helping destroy democracy. This is black and white, no grey area here.

I had a thought the other day about the polls and haven't seen it addressed. Maybe it will be addressed in this video. Here is my thought: Harris has the Dem vote, a good percentage of independents and, thanks to Trump's behavior and actions, a good percentage of the Republican vote. All Trump has is his cult, some independents who can't tell up from down and some diehard Republicans who just can't vote for a Democrat. But Harris clearly has the larger voting base. Yet, the polls are not reflecting this. According to the polls, the race is tight. It just doesn't make any sense based on what we know. And scariest of all, if Harris wins the popular vote by many millions but loses some key swing states... it is all over. And I'm not just talking about the election. So much more. Something is wrong with our system of voting that a few thousand people in a few swing states can have so much power over a national election. And yes, I am biased, because one side is clearly good here (I didn't say perfect) and the other side is clearly quite the opposite.

I never listen to the polls, because like statistics, numbers can be manipulated and used to misinform just as easily as any other means. This is not a popularity contest! I just listened to the first minute here, so I'm interested to see what we're gonna hear. I've been listening to other polling experts who do not put a lot of store into the way most well-known polling is done. From what I just last heard, the numbers coming from younger voters, 18-20 something's is very strong...talking double digits higher than Trump for Harris. Then out of that the young female vote, then out of that the young Black & Hispanic females...and the numbers are even larger. This age group IS the coming near future of the country and when young women, especially, consider the kind of reproductive health freedom that is at stake here, they are NOT gonna sit back and let the older folks screw their future up and the futures of generations to come. Yes, we're voting to prevent the horror of Trump as president, but we are ALL voting for the next generation of democracy and freedom-loving Americans!

I was born in the middle of the Eisenhower Administration. In spite of many BAD international policies under the Dulles brothers in that regime- the Domestic fiscal and Tax policies were largely a continuation of Roosevelt & Trumans Social supports of the 1930's.
He was the last Republican President who totally supported the Working Middle class of the USA. (Nixon & Ford were the beginnings of chipping away at that.)
But in spite of the admirable work of Robert Reich, in the 1980s the Conservative Dems in Congress, (Including Biden at the time) and the Neo-Liberal policies of the Clintons, began to KowTow to the Fiscal Conservatives and de Regulations of the Neo-Conservies who were taking Crow bars to our whole system of GOVERNMENT. And the Dems were too weak to call them out on it! The Dems were so shitty on MESSAGING! The figures who had ANY grasp of "Reading The Room" in popular appeal, squandered that connection by listening to TERRIBLE advice from Right leaning Economic advisors like the Chicago fiscal school. OBAMA turned out to be the most fiscally Conservative Dem I ever voted for. I dont regret Voting for him, But he gave the Banks EVERYTHING during the crash- and millions of Americans got Screwed by Them. So- yea- I lost my "Enthusiasm" for the Dem party. I want Harris to win, hell - I would want Biden to win. Trump is Developmentally Disabled and a Dark Narcissistic Con man. A Total sell out to Corporations and a potential Dictator. But the Dems mismanagement and their own internal corruption are WHY a "Trump" was able to get a foot in the door. Hell Biden hadn't even been able to take the steps to get DeJoy out of the Post Office - which is being wrecked by him in increments every Day!
Too many Dems are "Corporate Pro Wall Street Millionaires - Pro Lobbies" for me to feel enthusiastic about them!

I really enjoyed this conversation with Michael. I do hope Heather gets better soon.
I have Gen Z and Millennial kids, so the Supreme Court issue is one of the things that worry me the most.
I hate that the polls are so close. I think it's causing a lot of stress and anxiety to most of the people who are engaged in politics right now. I am hopeful that freedom of choice will help us. Anyone who is a woman, or cares about a woman or little girl should consider freedom of choice a deal breaker in terms of voting for Trump or the Republicans down ballot.
It baffles me that Trump has the support he does. I think he's a useful idiot for the Right, but he's also a liability because it's difficult to predict what he will say or do. If I were a Republican, I'd want a different candidate. They seem to have decided that the Trump cult would rebel against the Republican party if they replaced him. Some of them probably would, but I also think that they would vote for Nikki Haley or some other Republican in his place simply because they are Republicans.
The thing that surprises me about the endorsement for Trump Is that I think the leaders of the Republican party realize that he has no allegiance to our country, or to anyone but himself. That makes him a problem with China, Korea, Russia, Hungary... basically anywhere with a dictator. I am extremely fearful for Ukraine. They are a proud country with wonderful leadership with Zelinski. We must have Kamala Harris to continue the support for Ukraine. 🇺🇦🇱🇷

That might seem like a long time ago to the co-host on the Klatch but in reality, it's a major connection and within middle aged people's lives. Dirkson was not an isolationist and he, despite very solid conservative background, could see beyond ideology to support much of the New Deal in the 1930s. This was hugely controversial at the time. Trump is one of the worst presidents we have ever had . I voted Nixon and that was a mistake . Voted Trump once but he did nothing to stop the capital attacks on January 6th

As someone who is also older, I have respect for how Republicans and Dems operated together. It was work and it was hard, but both sides came to the table. I would like to for the country to return to the checks and balances for both sides within the government.

The problem is - we never ask - "Why don't we make sure we have a great candidate next time around?". If you explore that question, you find the Democratic Party ... also not democratic and we actually live in an oligarchy ... hence, why things are the way they are. But let's not focus on solving ACTUAL problems, let's get back to the 'red team' v. 'blue team' tribalism.

I could care less about Israel/palestine, it aint our country.
Trump will f$%@ up this country and is an insurrectionist scumbag who should never be allowed in a government position again.
Crazy how felons cant vote in elections but they can run for president.

One thing I don't really hear people talking about in regards to the tariffs is not only would it result in essentially a tax on Americans, but it is also anti-small business. It won't really have any effect on corporations, but small businesses that import goods, especially a lot of average Americans' "side hustles" will be hit very hard and probably have to shut down.

I personally like the fact that Goldman Sachs is backing Harris’s plan and the fact that A few of the people who are trying to restructure the country used to work for Goldman Sachs. So basically the right wing elites who thought they were high and mighty because they were a Goldman Sachs figuratively got poked in the eye by the same company they worked for by saying Kamala Harris is so smart and her plan that her plan works better than Trump. Love the irony.
