I first experienced speech issues in July of 23. It has progressed to my legs and my fingers. My Neurologist told me I have a motor neuron disease on June 6th and the hospital scheduled an EMG and Spinal MRI for early August. Seven weeks for a simple test to confirm what is obvious. Through ALSNorthwest I managed to get into an ALS Clinic in a different hospital. That appointment is July 10th.
I'm not sure how your story showed up on my feed but your story touched me deeply. I'm adding you/your family and this terrible disease to my prayer journal. #GodblessyouKathy

Your on disability..you should be getting medicare or Medicaid and they both pay for medical equipment.
I think she was talking about disability from her job. I might have misunderstood, but I thought she said she does not qualify for SS disability.
