    Great video. I have an eagle claw full size. When I got it, I had an issue where the fill valve got stuck open and I had to send it back. They sent me a new one with no issue and I’ve loved shooting it. The 500cc tank is a bit of a pain to fill by hand tho, takes me about 20-30 minutes of continuous pumping from the bottom of green to full. I do get around 90 shots on low power, which is more than enough for me

    I have a full length Seneca Eagle claw in .25 and I also have a Hatsan AT-44 LongQE in .25 and a Hatsan BT-65 also in .25 You are talking about the difference between match rifles and hunting rifles and though I agree the AT-44 is long mine is also uncannily accurate far more accurate than my eagle claw or my BT-65. My AT-44 once shot a .75 ctc group at 125 yards. From the previous owner. I didnt believe it when I bought it used hecause he said it was as accurate as his much more expensive daystates and FX rifles he also had in his collection. I bought that rifle thinking he was feeding me a load of crap but no kidding it was crazy accurate I used it for pesting and regularly and frequently took birds between 100-150 yards and even took a few closer to 200. Ive never shot anything else as accurate and my AT-44 shot very accurate with a variety of ammo but most accurate with JSB domes and even surprisingly with H&N Grizzlies! I do love my eagle claw for its lever action and reliable build but nothing out of 10 or more air rifles I have shoots like my AT-44

    I've been using Griffin Slugs with RN\BT\HB in the .250 a siliconed barrel,slugs and mag, The heavy slugs above 50grs I only get (2) usable shots at 50-75 yards filled omly to 175bar, over filling will cause flyers. I inspect each slug for inconsistancies which seems to be alot rejects which can be recast or swaged once I find the perfect mold\die for the Eagle claw.

    Nice video. The last one was very helpful also. Please if you ever take your Eagle Claw apart, make a video. There are none that show how to disassemble. Keep up the good work.

      Thank you very much. That will probably wind up being one of my next videos. Thought about including a tear down in this video but it got kind of long as it was, will definitely be in the future though now. Thanks for watching

    This rifle likes the Benies and the Griffin hollow base hollow points. The Benjimin's are the most accurate either high or low velosity . I'm very happy with the .25 43.2gr senica pellets because on high power they go right through a 2"X4".

    Try using Nielsens.223 30grain slugs. They were designed for Hubin barrels.I suspect your barrel bore is too big for .217 & .218

      Thanks for the recommendation. I think you are probably right that my barrel is slightly overbore because some of the pellets I have that fit tight on other guns for somewhat loose in this one. I’ll definitely give those a try.
      Thanks for watching.

      @@thesylvanshadow4223 Just as an afterthought...,maybe you should first try to pushing various pellets and slugs down your barrel using cleaning rod .That will allow you to read the rifling on the projectile.You will also be able to feel if something is wonky in the barrel. The Nielsens slugs(.223)might get jammed in the barrel if my original suspicion is incorrect.

    It’s close in design to the Benjamin Marauder on the air reservoir and barrel . You may be able to incorporate a regulator on this gun .
    Great and informative video ! 👍

    That's a real bummer on your accuracy I've had that problem in the past with different air guns that I've owned just for Giggles take that Barrel off and Roll It on a perfectly smooth piece of whatever you have a tabletop perfectly smooth or a countertop a piece of glass and see if it wobbles

    I have a Seneca in .25 rifle version. It shoots well. Since yours is in .22, seems to like the heaver pellets, try the JSB Monsters. Have you tried 920-940 with the 18 gr. JSB?

    • @thesylvanshadow4223
      @thesylvanshadow4223  ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually have tried the monsters they didn’t do very well surprisingly and for the 18gr. anything less than absolutely sending them(~1000ft/s) resulted in poor accuracy. One thing about my particular rifle is that the lower the velocity the more the groups open up, pretty much every pellet I’ve tried does this.(eg, 14.5gr. Crossman hollow points at near supersonic shoot about a 5 inch group at 50 yards and about 500 ft/s grouping is about 6-12inches at 10 yards. Trying to get a new barrel liner to see if that helps. Thanks for the input and thanks for watching.
