old trick learned from heavy truck mechanics. Its just the red gasket maker and just along the outer edge so when you clamp it, it will seal

what is better the flowmaster fx straight through muffler or the magnaflow straight through??

Thats going to depend on you and the sound your after. I have not run the magna flows so dont know sound.
