One of my favourite bandleaders returns with "Hörst du das Meer?" (Can you hear the sea?). It is an elegant if somewhat melancholic tune.... I guess it is one of his lesser known recordings...
It is the flip side to "In Flagranti" which can be found in my channel.
The video reflects the title of the song and has a maritime theme....
A 1970 version by the singer Lolita can be seen on TH-cam.

Record in fair condition
This record was trasferred using the Ortofon Om78 cartridge and stylus as well as a 78rpm phono preamp in order to get an acceptable 78rpm equalization!

so uh.... maybe i'm at the wrong place, but y'all seem to know swing a little better than i do, so i'd like to know: does anyone have any idea what the name of the swing is wich is being played on the piano in the movie 'the downfall'? i've been wanting to know for several years now.........
Thank goodness that 70 years on Germany and Britain are now at peace and cooperation and not war and that music and good times roll again. Europe surely has its problems and differences but at least we are talking and negotiating about them and not staring at each other down the barrel of a gun!
