NOTE: Orkiestra T.Wendy (T. Wenda's Orchestra) never existed. It was simply a label nick for some uncredited German dance band from the years 1939/early 40s.
In last weeks of the 2nd World War, German administration and German enterprises which had been installed during the German occupation of Poland in years 1939-45, were in panic heading back for Germany to avoid the Soviet front. Therefore, also Polish branch of Odeon was left behind with its predominantly German record production, unattended. Many German matrixes were ready for pressing and selling under the new Polish record labels: Melodje and Muza. For the political reasons, however, original names of the Third Reich dance bands were hidden under phantasmagoric names of the unexisting "Polish" bands, e.g. S. Godarski, T.Wenda or Stanisław Łódzki. In most of cases, these nicks coverthe names of the best German swing bands of late 1930s, such as Hans Rehmsted, Erhard Bauschke, Oskar Joost, Michael Jary or many others. - เพลง

Hello Grzegorz - that 1:15 frame has to be one of my most favorite photos of spirited and "funky" as well as gorgeous Tangueras - of all times. Anyhow - the beat, the artwork, the music - super gorgeous - as always! Have a great weekend and a huge Tango hug and kiss to you!!!
@tango3721 Thank you, Lana. The photo at 1:15 is a film scene (uncredited movie) with Hans Albers, one of the most distinguished German acors of the 1930s.

@Masquerade03 It is indeed, an excellent tune. Amazing, how good were once the Germans in composing tangoes. Who'd expect the Teutonic "nation guerrière" to be so sentimental, in that respect? Pity, that ability seems to have evaporated in them - as well as it did in the Poles, by the way . Once, we too had excellent tangoes and not much has been left of it today.
We had some other sentimental Artist also like the German Expressionists or in Literature and Philosophie......but you are right the german and polish Tango was excellent, personally I like them more than the argentinish Tango. The compositions and the orchesters are divine, the polish Tango in respect of the Lyric- Versions is better than the german, they simply have more and better qualified singers. And the polish language sounds very nice and soft, so nice that I even started to learn it . .) Greetings from Cadiz (Spain) and thank you very much for so many Tangos !
