Wonderful song which I play so very often too written by one of the most genial musicians ever! Well done Max your sound and style are magnificent and thank you Mr. Petrucciani for this masterpiece 🙏
Aw man, what a way to start the week! While my days seem to fill up as one long continuous string of video calls, ‘small lights’ like this really brighten up my spirit! Thx so much Max & Band! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 #coronalifesavers
This is becoming one of my favourite solos of yours the more I listen to it. Such a beautiful song ... I must admit I haven’t heard it before. It is a perfect vehicle for your wonderful sound and harmonic interpretation. I am so enjoying these little concerts while you are restricted from regular venues and events. I don’t know how much post production you can do on these but I hope I’m not out of line to make a couple of suggestions for the overall sound. I realize its a very subjective thing but these will live on forever as a testament to your great career. For me the level of the sax is perfect .. (little reverb maybe?) the piano is low and the bass is very low in the mix..the.drums are good and even might come down just a touch. ANyway that’s just my opinion ... I wish you well and look forward to hearing you as always. Hello from Nova Scotia Canada ...
Thank you very much for your comment, Sir. I appreciate very much people like you that leave their own impressions about my videos. I completely agree with you in this case, I had the same thoughts when I listened to the video for the first time. I use just the internal microphone of the camera when I record usually but this time because we tried to respect distances for our safety, the result was definitely different than usual. Unfortunately these days, we can't do better without spending the right amount of money, so I thought that was better than nothing :-) Anyway, nothing will live on forever and when I'll have the chance to record a better version of this I'll switch it! Thanks once again for your precious suggestions and please keep doing. Max
@@maxionata Thank you for responding Max ... I totally understand your situation and explanation. I’m thrilled you would take the time to write me back. You are a true gentleman as well as a wonderful ambassador for jazz and the saxophone. Your sound and melodic development style represents the rebirth of an approach to jazz that I have hoped for ... for many years. You carry well the torch of the past Masters of melody and unique styling ... like Stan Getz ... Dexter Gordon .. Stanley Turrentine to name a few of my past favourites ... I wish you all the best ... Take care .. Remember you are loved and touch many hearts ...
Absolutely great. Really dig almost everything you do. My favorite song you’ve covered before this was don’t you worry bout a thing. I think this surpasses that as my favorite. By the way I’d love to hear you cover song for my father! 🎷
@@maxionata lovely warm tone its such a beautiful tune too. Never get rid of old saxes, i'll never give up the 10M! Cheers from an old tenor player in London
