It is crazy that this snake actually ran into you guys, let you scan her and stood perfectly still so that you could explain her organs. I hope you paid her well!
Indeed! I gave her three mice, one big pig and two little hummingbirds with a firefly as desert ;-)
that's a big snake if it can eat a whole

Hahahaha so funny!….not
Thank you for changing it to saying venomous. One of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to animals.
you are welcome! Actually, there is only the word "Gift" in German and my English is good, but not that good, that I knew the difference between venom and poison before.
Hearing someone else who takes issue with the difference between venom and poison is immensely refreshing. I tire of hearing people call spiders, snakes, and other technically venomous creatures "poisonous"
I love your animations, I find them didactic and interesting, the spider vid blew my mind. As a snake fan, would it be too much to ask for more detail about the muscle groups and how it articulates with the skeleton? I am deeply interested in the biomechanics of living things in general, and I have found little information about it as accessible and engaging as your videos.
Thank you so much! It is always a little bit difficult on how much information I put in such an animation.. for this one I needed 5 months, so I thought: o.k. if I model and explain the muscles, it would take another 2 months..
Damn. Please keep up the good work
Dude love the fact that you're a fan but they are my biggest op
In biology, a key idea to understanding is that function follows form. The way a thing is shaped and how it moves tells you everything. If a thing is shaped differently, it will function differently. These animations do a fantastic job at showing how these animals, whose form is so different from ours, still manages to function in such a majestic fashion. Beautiful work!
Ah, you fixed the Jacobson's organ part. :)
Yes :) and the part of the heart and blood system in the text and the shedding as well 👍
Hundreds of years of research and study in less than ten minutes, amazing!
So excited to see version 2 of this! I’m proud to have been involved with it :) The animations are incredible and the creator’s dedication to providing accurate information really shows. As for how I got involved with it, there were a good number of inaccuracies in the first version (beyond even the poison/venom issue), and I was disappointed by this because of how good the spider video was and the quality of the animations, so I wrote a long(and by long I mean like 5 paragraphs), angry comment about how the video was “not really informative in its current state”, which was definitely a bit harsh for the creator’s second biology video. I was not expecting a response, certainly not a nice one.
Not only did I get a response, but Oliver worked through each of the corrections in making this second version (I’m on TH-cam a lot and TH-camrs releasing corrected videos this early into the lifespan of a video is basically unheard of because it splits views between them which is bad for the algorithm) and he even let me look at his updated script and gave me a sneak preview of his next biology video (It’s still in the early research stages but it’s on an absolutely fascinating animal, so you should definitely look out for it). He even credited me in the description which isn’t even something I asked for.
If you are curious about what the changed where, the big script change besides venom-> poison was to the facts regarding the circulatory system. And the two animations that changed based on my comment were the Jacobson’s organ animation (which also involved a script change to go along with it) and the snake skin shedding animation. Which is now totally gorgeous and much more accurate :)
There were tons of other little animation improvements btw, an area where the first video was already inarguably excellent. This one is a masterpiece.
Hi Harry! Again, thank you so much for helping me doing the corrections for this version 2. Even though it was a big consideration whether to release a new version, because the old video did well, I think it was worth it. It is great that we have met here and I am looking forward to seeing what the future brings. Have a nice weekend, all the best, Oliver
There we go. Now the video is perfect 👏
Yeah🤘🤘
Another interesting thing that I heard, snakes have theirs breathing hole on the bottom of their mouth and this allows them to swallow big prey and still breathe
Yes, that makes sense.. 👍
You guys are heroes for putting out work like that. I can't imagine how much time and work it took you. I'm just really grateful for what you're doing. Please keep it up.
Hey, thank you so much! It is always great for me, when people notice the work, I put into this. As a one man show, I need for an animation like this about 4- 5 months from the idea to doing the research, modeling, animation, rendering, Audio editing and so on. Have a nice weekend!
@@OliverEnde wow, didn't realize it was only one person, couldn't imagine honestly, thought it was a team project. Even more cool points for you. I hope you're happy and having a great weekend too.
I love these anatomy videos. It would be really cool to see birds next. I learned about how birds' lungs work somewhat recently and it was really fascinating how they breathe in only one direction instead of two ways like we do so they're receiving constant oxygen.
Hey, thanks! Did you watch my animation about how birds sing? Not the hole anatomy is explained, but also the syrinx, which is the singing apperature. th-cam.com/video/f_c_ytNDAXQ/w-d-xo.html
oh wow i was about to watch your snake video again and didnt believe this 2.0 one just came out i was so confused xD I love this channel
Haha, yes, about 2 million people gave me the hint that it is venom and not poison, so I had to upload this version also with some improved animation parts..
Thanks for sharing, I didn’t need to learn about snakes but I enjoyed it.
Thanks for sharing such an important video about these snakes anatomy, my knowledge is improved... 🙏🙏
Hey, thanks a lot and great that you've learned something from my animation 😀🤙
The animation and detail is so captivating.
Thank you so much for your kind words :-)
The beauty of evolution!
This is mind-blowing. Thank you so much for the great animations and model I really appreciate. One question I have for you is, what 3D software do you use to make these sort of animations? And how much time does it take to make one? Thanks and have a great day
Hey, thanks a lot. This one took 5 months of work.. I use Cinema 4D, complete Adobe (after effects, premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, audition...) and Unreal engine for rendering
This answered my questions on snake dentition very thoroughly, thank you for such a comprehensive explanation of snake anatomy!
Terran Zoology sure is fascinating
Thank you for this amazing animation and explanation video!
You are so welcome 😊
Your animations are very much educative and lovely to watch.
Thank you so much 👍😊
Outstanding video!!!
Thanks a lot
in awe and speechless in wonder!
Excellent information guys, your work is definitely appreciated
Thanks a lot, but there is only me, myself and I who does all the animations here 😉🤙🏼
Amazing detail snake is cute
I wanted to learn about the mechanics of its movement. How do the transverse movements of its body segments relate to the snake's translational motion?
All praise to the noble creator who made these awesome animals
thank you
Now i know more about anatomy of snakes which can help me in zoology
Snakes are amazing creatures
Outstanding ❤
Snakes are so cool man.
Great updates! Thank you for version 2!
You are welcome 😊
this video is fascinating
Very cool and interesting! I was wondering about how their lungs were positioned, but I got more than I bargained for when you showed all the different teeth configurations!
Thanks! Yes, that was very interesting and absolutely new to me.. didn't even know that snakes have different teeth before doing the research :-)
Good video, but one of the most important things is missing: how snakes move.
Good job as a vet dr love it❤
This feels like a video game where you can build your own snake. That would be fun... :)
Wow snakes are awesome!
Man, you're going to blow up on here. Solid research. Killer animations. All substance, no filler. Keep going.
Thanks a lot! Yes, I will do! Have a nice weekend
Beautiful insane. Also spider video. Amazing 🎉🎉 bravo 👏👏👏👏👏👏 amazing how we are all kinda similar In most of out components . Thought provoking material right here
Thank you so much for the kind words!
That was so interesting. Thank you for producing that
Wow! Nice work man! 🤩 You're videos about snakes and spiders gave me much new information! Could you do some other animals too? Fascinating stuff!
Thanks a lot.. I began to do research for an octopus, which is quite the most interesting creature, I ever read about.. tay tuned 🙂
@@OliverEnde You have so much material to work with. There are countless interesting animal species I would love to see with these animations! Very nice...
Enlightening indeed keep it up 💪🔥🔥
Awesome info. 👍

Fascinating work!
Thanks a lot
Thank you for updating.
You are welcome!
I didn’t know snake have bones but my mom said they are invertebrates my life was a lie
Invertebrates? Sounds like what crustaceans are. You know crabs, lobsters, shrimps and others.
Snakes are reptiles: Bones inside the body.
Excellent animation and fantastic explanation.thank you so much sir
Great video. Can't wait for more animal 3d anatomies.
Thank you! There will come more like this 😊
Very nice, I was looking forward to part 2.

@@OliverEnde gifted people sharing their skills to others are great source of inspiration. Take care dude
@@Miaoulyn Thank you so much! You too!
You should make more videos regarding anatomy as well as morphology of various organisms ❤❤
"The ears can not only hear the prey, but can tell what direction they're coming from", yeah I'm pretty sure that's how ears work😂
I remember reading that younger snakes will give all its venom in one bite, where as an adult snake will give a dry bite as a warning to back off.
i liked the video, thanks
Just discovered this channel and... I think the word "wow" sums up my reaction. I hope you can make an anatomy presentation about scorpions soon :)
Yes, but first I will.do one about an octopus:) thank you very much for that great comment!
keep going on
'leave them in their natural habitat' - I like that.
