    2020 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
    Compact sport utility vehicle
    MSRP: From $22,495
MPG: Up to 24 city / 30 highway
    Horsepower: 148 to 168 hp
    Payload: 1,047 to 1,223 lbs
    Tire size: P225/55R18
    Engine: 2.0 L 4-cylinder, 2.4 L 4-cylinder
With a sleek updated exterior and a more aggressive stance, the new 2020 Outlander Sport is certain to make an impression. Of course, it’s still as versatile as ever. And its lightweight compact body, combined with excellent handling, make the 2020 Outlander Sport an ideal partner for all your adventures.
    Refreshed Front End
An updated squared grille, deeper hood line, and distinctive headlights featuring multiple LEDs give the 2020 Outlander Sport a presence that radiates strength. Located at the far ends of the bumper, the wide-set fog lamps round out the look.
    A Confident Stance
Stretching across the entire width of the back, the horizontal taillights-mostly made up of LEDs-accentuate the new Outlander Sport’s aggressive stance. A skid-plate on the bumper’s underside add to the overall ruggedness of the compact crossover.
    More Connectivity
Inside, the Smartphone-link Display Audio touchscreen has increased from seven to eight inches. Making calls with advanced voice recognition, picking a playlist from your phone, and getting directions with Apple CarPlay™2 or Android Auto™3 just got a whole lot easier.

I recently rented a 2019 Outlander Sport and GREATLY enjoyed the car. After 3 1/2 days of mixed cIty driving (commuting from the suburbs to downtown Houston) the car felt like a trusty friend. Easy to drive, comfortable, efficient with gas, and handsome. The 2020 styling refresh (and upgraded features) makes this car even more compelling.

Beautiful Vehicle. Mitsubishis are very reliable. A co worker has a 2011 Mitsubishi lancer CVT with over 150,000 miles on and no issues but cvt fluid flushed every 60,000 miles.
Mi have had my 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE 2.5 years now and love it and have had no issues, nor did I have any issues with my 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage ES the 2 years I owned it.
We also own a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport GT AWC we have had 3 years now and wow what a great vehicle. My friend / co worker has had her 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage 5 years in November and she loves it and has had not 1 issue, 7 of us have Mitsubishi at my work lol. Cant be at the value, warranty, features, reliability and huge discounts you get!
I love the look of this newly updated Outlander Sport wow!

I brought a 2013 gave it to my daughter to drive at college in 27 , she's still driving it with 100k miles, running great, I brought a 2018 Outlander 2.4 runs great , good gas mileage, these cars are super reliable , trust me , I don't need a ton of technology that cost thousands to repair at some point, the little 2.O is a tough lil engine, 2.4 even better, Mitsubishi made airplanes before cars, their engines are made for other manufacturers also!

    • @RDEnduro

If the transmission breaks now you are on the hook for thousands of dollars I am in the same boat. Over 100,000.. transmission already giving out. Goodluck, sell it while it still works! Also hilarious you mentioned airplanes as Mitsubishi airplanes were known to gain their performance by being cheap and light with questionable durability. Actually.. that seems right.

The number one thing people don’t realize about Mitsubishi is that this brand is meant to get people from point A to point B safely. People just see these cars as “it’s slow and basic.” So what if these cars aren’t that fast and not all that luxurious? I personally have a 2009 Galant ES and I love it to death. I plan on keeping it for as long as possible. People need to do their research instead throwing shade at a car they’re not familiar with, or go by rumors. And like any car, it will need maintenance. So if you don’t take car of it, it WILL have problems making it a bad car.

    • @davidmejia3010

I've owned 4 Mitsubishi's over the past 20 years. Had a 2015 Outlander Sport and gave it to my daughter. I didn't like how small it was and that it feels cramped in the driver seat. Then had all 4 locks go out one after another between 20,000 and 30,000 miles. At 64,000 miles the transmission light came on for like 15 seconds and Mitsubishi cannot tell me why. I stopped buying Mitsubishi's, because the service department reps were so rude at City Mitsubishi in Jacksonville.

This is the only one for the price and 10 year 100,000 mile warranty, the rest are Acura, Lexus and infinity ( WHICH ARE MADE IN JAPAN FOR OBVIOUS REASONS ) WAY TO EXPENSIVE. I just glanced at a copper one when I was driving by my local Mitsubishi dealership a couple days ago and realized the redesign. It caught me by surprise but at the same time, it was about damn time for some change. However, this car still hasn't been fully redesigned since it first came out in 2011. The only differences are the new front fascia, new taillights, and more intuitive center stack. With that, the side profile, the platform, the rear fascia and most of the interior is still the same from eight years ago. I guess they don't have as much market share or profits to go for a full redesign, even if they claim this is a full redesign. It's an improvement but no dice. I'll stick with my 2019 Toyota RAV4.

    • @user-ry3le1zq9d
      @user-ry3le1zq9d 4 ปีที่แล้ว

The redesign was pushed back to 2022 so it can share a platform with the Nissan Kicks(CMF-B). The larger Outlander will be out in 2020 as a 2021 model (it was recently spied testing) this will use the CMF-C/D.

    • @kylemas2005

Thank you for sharing this. I need to buy a car and safety really is my priority (instead of luxury). This sounds great.

Mitsubishi does way better job with programming the JATCO CVT than Nissan. If you take care of it, there shouldnt be any premature failure.

    • @kylemas2005

@FIVE__O__FEVER As of yet, there are no shared platforms within the 3 manufacturers for the North American market. Also, although some Nissans and Mitsus share the CVT7, Mitsu has demonstrated better reliability with putting to CVT7 in vehicles that have lower hp/torque and lower curb weights, also their MIVEC III transmission programming has demonstrated much less incidents of premature failure. I agree however, that Nissan's Xtronic CVT programming leaves alot to be desired. The 2 Mirages I own have been very reliable after a combined 100k miles of hard Uber driving. Also on MirageForum.com there are hundreds of Mirage owners that havent reported any CVT failures before 175k miles. There are 5 that have after the same miles. A fleet mechanic who takes care of a fleet of 40 has reported this.

@FIVE__O__FEVER Which fleet? Avis? Are you a mechanic? I thought the Rogue was one of the more reliable models? Did you try cleaning the 6 auxiliary filters located on the CVT8?

Mitsubishi dynamic shield is overly design. But its not as bad as the newer Isuzu designs that are hiddeous.

So it's still the same car underneath the facelift. Still waiting on a turbo or v6 option. Missed opportunity once again Mitsubishi.

Mitsubishi should really add some meaty roof racks based on the black struts on the grill.
The front looks so sharp and meaty and the rest is kinda disappointing. They should at least be as big and in-your-face as the ones on the current Subaru Outback or the Dacia Duster. Doesn't matter if people will use them or not, other manufacturers are doing it and Mitsubishi is falling behind if they don't keep up the pace.

I think Mitsubishi missed an opportunity here to add in the 1.5 turbo from the eclipse cross, that would have made this vehicle so much more exciting.
Mitsubishi don't make good marketing decisions and that's their main problem in the us.
They also need to understand the American market better.
