We ALWAYS turned it right up for this one, and would just turn our heads to each other at certain bits of the song not saying a word to not interrupt the fantastic Adele. wow what a performance. It was definitely not what I was expecting when I clicked this video. Performances where crowd get so involved are the best. You can often see such in old concerts but nowadays it can hardly be seen. I guess only a handful artists nowadays can bring out crowd engagement so much and Adele is one of those.
Also this was when she needed to have the throat surgery and was last show but hadn't told the press or her fans...that's why she had audience sing a little more. Plus the whole show was so emotional...wonderful..
Gail Remp actually, she'd had the surgery. She wasn't allowed to talk for a long time. When she saw the surgeon, he told her she could speak again and should try singing a song or two. She started with Rolling in the deep, and proceeded to sing the whole album. That surgeon got one hell of an acapella performance!!! I read about this in the New Yorker. This guy is one hell of a surgeon! With out him her voice would have been lost forever. . .
