Thanks to everyone for all your amazing comments, this means a lot to me! The credits for suggesting this particular song go to Michael Bonet. Please check out also his split screen cover of this song
WOW!! This is older but first time seeing it. One of my favorite bands and favorite songs. That drummer is not easy to cover and she made it look effortless!! Amazing!!!
OMG, why would any serious Fate's Warning fan ever down vote this? That was amazing! Very impressive. This comes from a guy who has been watching Fate's Warning since 1987. 28 years. You honored them, with that performance.
I had to see it to believe it...how can anyone play that well at 14 yrs old takes an innsane amount of talent and dedication . Another amazing performance
I have been drumming for over 30 years and you nailed not only the drum chops but, the most important part of the song. The little nuances, dynamics of building the song. Keep up the amazing drumming! If you can stay away from stuff that clouds the mind. Namaste
Perhaps my favorite Fates Warning song. I used to listen to their music in headphones, each time isolating a different musician in my mind. I used to b fascinated by Zonder's drumming, so melodic, original, and engaging. Fantastic job on this cover. I was just as entranced by your cover as I was by listening to Fates Warning. Keep up the great work!
Was smiling the entire vid. Well done! And kudos on the song selection! Fates Warning is a great band, and Mark Zonder is one of the most creative drummers out there. The parts he comes up with are mind-boggling sometimes lol. A tough act to follow for sure, and a great drummer to learn from. Awesoem performance!
Wow...one of the hardest songs on the album and that Mark Zonder has done. Lots of tempo, timing and rythym changes. You did very well. And I am impressed that you like Fates Warning !!!! Ive played since I was in 8th grade and still love playing..Im probably your parents age..keep up the awesome work and play everyday !!
I have loved Fates Warning for as long as I can remember, finally got to see them live in November 2013, this song is one of my top favorites, I gotta say you are absolutely amazing, when I listen to them the thing that stands out the most to me is the drums, wish I could play like you! I'd love to see you do some more Fates Warning! Keep it up, god bless you....
Awesome work Sina, Fate Warning is one of my all time favorite bands and to see someone as young as you covering one of their classic songs nearly 25 years after it was first recorded is great. Nice to see the FW haven't been forgotten. Mark change the whole direction of the band with his playing ability when he joined, personally my preferred era, loved the early stuff with Steve on drums also. Cheers Cory (Pegazus)
I know this comment is 4 years too late, but omg, that you were taking on, and acing such intricate music even back then is just amazing. I am otherwise left speechless.
Sina, will one day be a true legend. Her understanding of good music is out of this world. She can play anything, perfectly. A true talent. Excellence :)
Thank you Denny for posting this one on an FB site. Still learning about Fates Warning. I know Mike Portnoy mentions them among many influences alongside Queensryche and Geoff Tate was born in Germany!!! Sina was around middle High School age here and showing the attributes we now know have reached worldwide status. I can hear who influenced James La Brie here!!! I am so glad there are those who appreciate this music as my tastes in music cannot be shared by most Australians in my peers. TH-cam and Facebook have been great mentors for me who felt so isolated with my tastes in a country that is so over the top on pop-culture music, Sina, and many of her generation are finally helping to make under-the-radar great music visible again!!! 👍❤❤❤
I’ve said it before, Sina becomes part of every band she covers. She feels what the original artists felt, no other way to explain her timing . Then of course, to be complimented by Zonder himself says it all!
The piece starts so tenderly but more and more it goes on the more amazed I will be! If you have ever had doubts on your TH-cam vlogging, don’t worry, you are on the right road. If you are 14 and can hear such delicate distinctions like in this piece and are even able to produce them alike, and when you cover pieces like this or Roxanne by Police successfully, like you do, you are very specially gifted and have an absolute music ear and I’m sure you are going to have wonderful years ahead. In ten years time when you are 24 you are going to have more than 1,5 million subscribers and millions of clicks on your covers. No doubt about that 😉 You hardworking blessed gal 🧚
I literally had tears streaming down my face! I have never seen anything so amazing! Note for note! OMG! You will NEVER need a "day job"... EVER! OMG! You are so incredible! I have been in so many bands and have never had the privilege of playing with a drummer of your caliber (no offense, brothers). Keep rocking, Sina!
Denny Anthony That's very nice, Denny, wow, I'm a bit abashed now - I'm sure that Daryl Bolicek could teach me a lot! Thanks anyway, that's very inspiring and motivating ;-))
Hey, I am compelled to spur a fellow musician along. Keep on keeping on! Don't ever be satisfied with what you already know. And please let your parents know that there are plenty of musicians who are inspired by your work and the gift you share (ultimately, the gift that your parents share with us all). :)
I have been a fates warning fan for over 30 years and i have had a hell of a time trying to play the drum's to this , you nailed it little lady , nice job!!!
Well done young lady. ..I have been a musician for many years as has been my father and grandfather. ... You have a natural talent. .. continue to develop it and the world of true musicianship will be yours
You are so good you make me listen to music I am not a particular fan of. And I end up realizing just how complex some of these drum lines are because of you and then gain an appreciation of the music that I am not a fan of. THAT young lady is a gift you have that you may not even realize. Does that make sense ? The original artists should be praising you for just that alone. And yes I realize this is 3 years old but I am catching up on all I have missed of you.
Not only did Sina dona stunning rendition of a very difficult song, she did this 5 years ago! If her talent was at this level back then I couldn’t even begin to imagine her skill level at this point. Young lady, is there nothing you can’t do?
Well, I do not normally check out covers, but this clip showed up in the sidebar of TH-cam as I was watching a few minutes of footage of Fates Warning, my favorite band since about 1987. Great to see someone as young as you take on the challenge of learning and playing one of Fates Warning's complex and beautiful pieces from "Parallels." That album is a masterpiece, and Mark Zonder is one of the most unique, and under-appreciated drummers in the field. Well done! Also, you might check-out the final track on the record, "The Road Goes on Forever." That song is one of my favorites, and the percussion work on it is beautiful and majestic. Of course, it does not hurt to have Terry Brown as your producer, the guy behind many of the great Rush productions. Blessings to you! :)
I'm blown away by this performance Sina! That was amazing. So talented even at 14. Even better today. Love you! Definitely sharing this video. I wish there was a love button.
Fantastic job! I am huge fan of Fates Warning from way back. The complication in their pre 2000's music has always spoken to me. It is especially delightful seeing someone with such dexterity pull off a cover of this so well. Watching you play this has given me a fuller appreciation of this song & the band itself. I think that this kind of genre suits your ability. Keep it up & enjoy it=).
That's really an amazing cover, very true to the original. Moreover, watching you play really helps to notice what a masterpiece the original drum line is, there are so many subtle touches in this song one tends to overlook. Keep on doing the great job, I really hope you get famous one day so you can pursue your dreams. Don't ever give up on making music!
+Piotr Piotrowski On a side note: can you try doing "Out of the Silent Planet" by Iron Maiden? I'm pretty sure once you get to work on that song, you'll find it quite a challenge to really match the feel of the original :)
+Piotr Piotrowski Thanks for the nice messages and your request. I put that Iron Maiden song on my "to-do" list, but meanwhile that's become a very very long list!!! Thanks for watching!
Wow! Resident Fates nut here, and this was as good as the studio version. I always thought Zonder's craziest work was on Inside Out (1994). Specifically, "Face The Fear", "Monument ", and" Outside Looking In" In fact, even Zonder himself almost seems to have a tough time doing "Monument" live. Keep up the good work... you have a bright future ahead of you.
I've heard of Fates Warning before but I haven't heard any of their stuff before. I'm really digging it and what a great cover! You've found a fan in me, Sina. Keep it up!
Sina: I stumbled on your drum-over of The Eleventh Hour and thought "Oh man not another and she's just a kid, I hope that she doesn't embarrass herself; Fates Warning's all into altering and shifting time signatures == how will she keep up?" I am glad that I stuck around to watch: YOU ARE AWESOME! I know that this was a couple of years ago so I can only imagine that you are -- I hope anyway -- still going! Great job, girl!
Brilliant in deed! Drums rarely com across as a delicate instrument besides the powerful driving force we all know. It is so in this song. Well chosen, brilliantly played
well...first of all..thankyou and BRAVO!!!!..in my 25 plus years of listening to Fates, I have NEVER seen or heard such soul and technique when it comes to covering this band..at any age..(14?..lol ) holy crap..just killer \m/
Ok you just got my subscription! That was absolutely inspiring! I love the MEINL's by the way! I think they're great sounding cymbals, I've been wanting to replace all mine with that brand. Great job
Hi Sina! So - this was 6 years ago, and you'd been playing a total of 4 years by then. And the comments from Fates fans universally praised you for your accuracy, as well as a thumbs-up from one of the original drummers. What was that I said the other day? OH yeah -- DAMN, you're good! Take care :))
Came across the performance of this girl and wow she is like like the female version of Zonder in technique and groove.. Fates Warning should be proud for inspiring younger generations of musicians
Awesome performance as always Sina, I also want to thank you for your time and effort, really appreciated : ), see ya soon with the project final video
Here is Sina, The Eleventh Hour International Split Screen Cover, you did a wonderful interpretation of the song. Thank you and your dad for your time and effort. You have a lifetime friend here in the Americas. The Eleventh Hour - International Split Screen Cover
Sina! Großartig in der Schönheit des Spiels auf dem Schlagzeug !!!! Diese Komposition, die auf einem Schlagzeug schwer aufzuführen ist, haben Sie überraschend leicht und schön vorgetragen !!!!!! Sina! Du hast ein sehr schönes Lächeln!!! Sie sind wunderschön!!! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘🥁🥁🥁🎶🎶🎶

Hi. I suggest you cover the 'Fall of Reason' by Watchtower
I know, right? Ha ha!
sina-drums any fates warning will do the trick. Keep it up!
Mark Zonder has seen this and said she did it better than most live covers. Wow what a compliment from Mark
Wow, blushing! ;-))
Agreed

sina-drums Quite welcome! More, more! Any from Fate's earlier stuff? If you can play Zimmerman's drums on Anarchy Devine, you'd blow my mind!

Ha ha! Totally! I agree,
I saw them in Detroit three times. And they never cease to amaze me. And did you know Mark Zonder is from Detroit

Great cover. Mark is not easy to nail he is a great drummer with a lot of nuances and subtle things.

One of the greatest ballads ever written. You performed it to perfection my dear. Fates is an awesome band, and your an awesome drummer and talent.

Mark truly is unique and has his own style, especially for a metal drummer. So much style and elegance

WOW! WHOA! INCREDIBLE! So accurate and precise! She is 20x better than some drummers ive dealt with on an underground yet somewhat professional level
Fates Warning rock's and so do you Sina. Amazingly and beautifully crafted
You killed it I saw them live on that album back when I was 19 so poured of you that's my favorite album by them
