My take is that she's a kid, so she has time to find her real dream. The point of her character and devil fruit is to emphasize the limitless potential of youth. She can have any dream she wants at this point in her life. And the Straw Hats are the perfect crew to enable the most dreams possible. She could be a shipwright, a sniper, a navigator, an archeologist. Truly, all doors are open to her on the Straw Hat crew.
That sounded like a IMPSSOBLE dream and that dream is perfect for a Straw Hat member.

@@yazid6024 I'm not wrong at all, you're arguing out of exceptional cases. There's far more examples of DF working on haki users. Kaido and Big Mom were exceptions to the rule, and it was only due to the VAST gap in haki they had with Law.
Even then, as soon as the DF users awakened their powers, Kidd was able to make BM magnetic with Assign, Law could cut through Big Mom with K-Room and Silenced her, and Luffy was able to make Kaido's body rubbery.
So I repeat: haki doesn't make people immune to annoying DF abilities. It was a haki GAP that made that.
Give Law the same haki strength as Kaido, and he'd be able to Shamble him around.

@@CrimsonKaiserx8 not at all. Bonney's been changing people's age the whole manga, and affecting people's dangerousness like that. There's no reason why she shouldn't use it to the heroes' advantage, in one particular instance. Especially against such odds as they might face in an eventual final war. If they have these legends among them, it would actually be a terrible waste not to boost them temporarily with the benefits of young age.

I never thought of chopper as the “kid” of the crew even though he basically is but she’s perfect to be that role like shanks on Roger’s ship which I think was just cabin boy. Someone mentioned this as soon as we saw Bonnie was actually a kid and I totally agree.
Cabin boy/ apprentice role has to be the stupidest idea for a role this late into the endgame of one piece…
Wouldn’t rather bring a “kid” along instead of someone who’s more prepared for endgame fights and difficult struggles/ situations over a literal 12 year old liability…

She only stayed in wano temporarily to protect them and or take her tour it’s basically a what happened with jinbei as it’s a delayed joining process…
All the times she said she was going to leave and in 1059 she even said she still wanted to leave and sail with the straw hats…
She got an open invite, knows luffys true dream and was drawn with all the straw hats in 1103 color spread…
She has more reason and setup then any other character to join… she does owe wano or it’s people anything she’s sacrificing her dream and freedom rn tell she realizes her mistake and finally leaves… 😕

I really like the idea of Bonney taking on different futures depending on which straw hat she could be with. For example a swordsman distorted future, a fishman distorted future, a sniper distorted future etc. While Nika future is ofc the strongest of them, her tapping into all of the strawhats situationally instead of just Luffy could come in handy.
I also like the idea of her joining the grand fleet and collecting Pacifista as her crew! And her journey could consist of her essentially liberating her own father over and over again, finally taking him back from the world governments clutches.
Heck she'd be an extremely valuable member of the Revolutionairy army as well if that's how they come back into the story to take care of Bonney on Kuma's behalf.
Luffy bout to be the most weakest character here soon. No one can have anything unique to them now, its kind of stupid to me TBH. To be able to copy EVERYTHING just defeats the purpose of luffy grows when there is a person who can copy everything of his fruits powers. Even when people say "OH yeah she is not powerful than luffy because she lacks haki to fully use Nika" she is literally a child with many years to train up till that point, and till then she might have perfected the nika fruit even more so than Luffy has. She is toooooo broken they literally need to nerf her before luffy gets the ONE PIECE, because I am not going to feel right that there is a person on luffy ship that can steal the title of the pirate king.
At this point Oda might as well give her every kind of haki as well. Because from what I can tell Haki is more easier to obtain than an Awaken of a Devil Fruit, because every person that has an awaken has unlock their haki. So that also defeats the point of giving luffy more haki to kinda balance out the Bonny Nika transformation.
So the thing of saying haki is stronger than devil fruits wont work. because all we have to do is give bonnie a few years or even month and she will be luffy equal. I dont like that. But honestly that just me

Nice theory and all except it makes more sense for her to join the revs (like her parents) and since Luffy is only 1 more crew member down from his stated goal , where would Vivi go? She even more wanted than Bonney atm and doesn't have any other real options that make sense.
There's tons of tiny litttle details that seem to certain outcomes, that have spawned innumerable theories that didn't come true - but narratively her joining revs and Vivi joing the SH makes way more sense. The vid was etertaining nonetheless, so good job on that :P
Hell yeah!!! I've been saying Bonney for Strawhat ever since the very beginning when we started her and Kuma's backstory! Don't get me wrong, I love Yamato, but I was always kind of against the idea of her joining the crew for various reasons. Not that I would've hated it if she did, but it didn't sit completely right with me... that said, it wouldn't sit right with me either if Bonney DID NOT join the crew either! I feel like we have a moral obligation to bring her aboard at this point lol

As a fan of Yamato I wanted her to join the crew so badly but I don’t like the idea of someone actually keeping track of the journey because then Usopp can’t write a book about it like Noland

She has been traveling, but she was looking for Kuma. And as a pirate, she is not free to go wherever she like.
Thousand Sunny is the dreamt ship because it is the ship of Nika the Sun God, it signifies freedom. That is also part of Bonney dream as she dreams to be freed from the enslavement (unable to expose to the sun, and later hunting down by the world government).
The last page of chapter 1118 actually signifies this, as Kuma recalls his promise to Ginny.
And Bonney pirates might be as well as disbanded. Due to the fact that they were probably retired pirates before set sail again for Bonney.
This points out that Bonney has no place to go except Nika's ship.
None of that you just said is anything outside of headcanon and pure fan speculation up tell now…

The only problem here is that Bonney never officially asked if she could join the crew. But who had ever wanted to join Luffy before they were asked to? Zoro was invited, Nami was invited, Sanji was invited, Chopper was invited, Brook was invited. Robin and Jinbei's conditions were special. The only two persons who voluntarily wanted to follow Luffy was Usopp and Franky.
The reason Bonney would want to join Luffy is that he is Nika. And if Nami get to know about her condition (12 years old and without a proper team), she will want her to stay.

She would just go back to her... SEE!? She literally has nowhere else to go. The BEST argument is Kizaru adopts her but that's not gonna happen too soon after seeing him kill Vegapunk, if ever. The thing about Luffy having Bonnie as an apprentice is Luffy isn't that far off from Bonnie in terms of age. I.e Luffy will still be in his prime when Bonnie gets to her prime. Usually the point of apprentice is so that they could carry your will once you are past your prime.
Luffy has also sacrificed decades off his life by Hormone Injection X2 and pumping his blood to enhance his DF powers, by birthdate they are only a few years apart but his body is at least twice as old in wear and tear

Ok so here is what i understand so far joyboy and nika different people nika is a sun god that was worshipped with some other gods. And what we know about joyboy is that he was the first pirate and had a faction strong enough to fight with the 20 kingdoms he wanted to preserve the weapons for some reason and right now we are like 95% he had the nika fruit . And luffy is carrying on his will as the next joy i hope i explained it decently sorry for the bad punctuation
