- We have them back! if you remember a few weeks back we did a video showcasing 5 beautiful coins that we were sending off to NGC to be graded, certified, and slabbed! Well today we just got our package BACK from NGC, and it's time to see what we have!

I love these reveal videos. These coins are gorgeous! I have a 1895 S morgan I want to get looked at. I believe it may be a counterfeit because some parts with the strike is suspect!
I missed all 5, if the light was as tonight I think I would not having graded the proof so high, (the one missed the worst)! Love the graded videos, keep up the good work!

This is the first results in boxing of yours that I've watched. It would be really nice if you put the pop and price guide numbers on screen, and maybe numbers for one trade higher and one grade lower. I mean, I did just go to the NGC cert lookup page and follow along with the video but it only shows this exact coin, it would be cool to see one grade higher and one grade lower info too.

Opening a box of graded coins never gets old . I always get excited to see if the coins graded like i thought they would . Morgan Dollars are my favorite Silver Dollars . The Carson City Morgans you sent off are very Good examples to have graded . I really like the 1881 - CC M.S. 65 but all of the coins you had graded were definitely worth getting graded . Do you think the 1872 proof seated quarter M.S. - 62 with the real fine scratches could have been cleaned a long time ago ? I know it doesn't say it has been cleaned on the slab but i have seen coins look like that have been cleaned 50 to 75 years ago . I know light and cameras can make marks , scratches on a coin appear different than they look when you can examine the coin in person . I was just curious what you thought about it ? Thank you for sharing some Really Good coins .
The proof? No it doesnt look cleaned just old toning. I feel it should have gotten a 63 personally but it is what it is as they say. The LED lighting definitely makes things pop tho maybe they use the same lighting. :)
@@SilverSeeker Thank you for the reply . I thought it could have been the lighting making it appear that way , i wasn't sure . I would have thought it would have graded M.S. - 63 to . I have seen more common date coins grade M.S. - 63 that didn't look as good as your 1872 seated quarter . I have noticed over the years the grading companies always seem to grade more valuable coins a lot more conservatively than common date coins .
Thank you a very helpful demonstration. I'm submitting a batch of CC's right now. Unfortunately, you have to figure out the grade/condition to know how to price the tiers. What a ridiculous system to navigate if you are not an expert grader yourself. The biggest challenge is whether the coin is cleaned or not, as that would kick it down to the economy tier. Who knows???? Can't help but wonder if grades come back higher in the $38 tier, than the economy tier. We will see.

I was one grade off on that VAM-16.
I would count my blessings with the 65 grades those coins got with those noticeable scratches.
Well they arent MS70s, most 65s have some noticable scratching but to be fair the lighting I used REALLY brings them out.

how much did it cost you to grade this?
Seems we always get 1 number grade under what we think it is when we send it off
I know the NGC and PCGS service, both are excellent for American currencies. Sometimes grid 1 or 2 points up or down. But I confess that foreign currencies are too flawed for authentication. There is a lack of specialized people in this area. I think they should really only classify American currencies. I've seen every encapsulation of Roman coins that make your hair stand on end, there are pieces that you can't tell if they are fake or real due to so much wear. But they simply encapsulate because it is an advantageous market. I am an ANA Member myself, and really in my opinion I don't find it interesting to have a coin sealed in an acrylic box, and I can't touch it and feel the whole story behind the coin in my hands. Coins have always been collected in this way, but suddenly from 3 decades, these firms started to emerge, in fact vision to really profit. I still consider and use the classic way to collect coins.

Love the CC morgans ,I got a 1884CC in a gas holder,after seeing yours ms65 might need to get mine graded its proof like,and maybe cleaner what would they charge to grade CC s in gsa holders? Sweet coins there
GSA holders are the same price as normal “older” coins. Just make sure if you send it off, that you specify that you don’t want them to crack it out of the holder lol.
And are you sure it’s prooflike? Those are really rare in GSA Horde holders....

Is it in a black GSA holder that says “Carson City” on top and “Uncirculated” at the bottom?

stack attacker Wager then I don’t think that’s the original GSA holder for your coin. It would say “Carson City” on top and “Uncirculated” at the bottom. Likely, someone had a Philly, San Fran, or NOLA GSA holder that had a coin in it. They broke it out of there, slapped a common date Morgan in there and passed it off. Personal opinion of course. I’ll watch the video, but that doesn’t sound like a GSA Holder for a CC coin

Agreed. He got robbed on the proof. For some reason NGC seems to struggle with grading coins that are losing/low in luster. The proof was well struck and the detail was gorgeous.

That 1884 MS64 is a travesty. I feel like that Could easily be graded a MS65.
