- I recently purchased a Thrustmaster SF1000 F1 replica wheel, and shot a few pieces of footage as I unboxed it, set it up for the first time, and gave my initial early thoughts after a few laps in ACC.
I will post update videos as the months go by. I've also setup a SF1000 Facebook Users Group here, to see if there is interest in sharing thoughts, opinions, help etc:

@@OldManPlaysDrivingSims I like it more than the earlier F1 wheel; a bit overwhelmed with info on the LCD screen; enjoyable even though essentially one handed due to my stroke over 2 years ago; waiting for a good sale price on F1 22.

@@kenbarthSimAV8tor you and me both Ken - I have EA Play (via Steam) that gives you 10 hours free trial play on many games, including F1 2022, as well as access to full games to download...I'll try the 10 hours to see how I like it, but will wait for a sale price.
Curious, did the display just pop up with the game info as soon as you turned the game on? Are you using the wheel with WiFi on or off? And lastly does the display show game info for GT7?
For ACC (which has native support built in) yes, as soon as you hit "Drive" in the pits, the display leaps to life - you don't need the WiFi connection for that to happen, it just works. For games that do not have native support built in (I think F1 2019 is like this), you setup the WiFi on the wheel via a phone app, iOS or Android, (very easy), tweak a few settings in game for data sharing (Thrustmaster have easy to follow instructions on this - see link below) and voila...info appears. I've not tried this yet - I will do a video in it soon. The new F1 2022 is going to have native support built in.
GT7 - I don't have it yet myself, but yes, it is supported!

thanks for your video i have also bought the sf100 wheel ive updated the firm ware succesfully. but when i mount it on the ts-xw its 90 degrees off centre so impossible to use do you have any suggestions for me best regards ian

It is a fantastic wheel for the price - more buttons and dials than you will ever need.
I've had the SF1000 for months now and it is a fantastic wheel in every way, you won't be disappointed.

Are you having issues mapping the wheel to F1 22? I'm trying to map so I can pit but having trouble finding the button? Do you know?
I’ve only got F1 2021 just now (no mapping issues with that) - I’m about to download the EA Play ten hour trial of F1 2022, so will report back 👍🏻

HI! I also bought a sf1000 with a t300 base but when you turn on the ps5, the engine starts and the steering wheel turns but the steering wheel itself does not turn on (monitor and drs lights) could you help me? Thanks in advance and still nice video!
sorry for the late reply - my first stop would be to plug the wheel/base into a PC, and make sure both pieces of hardware have been updated to the latest firmware versions (you can get these from the Thrustmaster web site) - let me know how you get on 👍

Hey thanks for the video but after the firmware update my t300 mode light got to red. It was green. And if i turn on my PS as if PS3 selected it is green but no control. If in ĞS4 selected mode it is working properly but the light is red???

Yep, I think the firmware that came out after I posted this video changed the way the light works, depending what mode the wheel is in. Thanks for watching the video and your positive comments!

@@33alejan Have you tried just remapping the controls in the game?
@@33alejan You have probably already solved this, but for anyone reading this do the following: Long press the mode button until it changes color, now you are back in "correct" mode
@@zapflod It is always red now. I guess it should be for F1 mode. Green is for the other modes, I guess.
For me when I get on ACC on Xbox, nothing shows up
Not sure if ACC is supported yet on Xbox, natively or via UDP. Hopefully that will be sorted soon.
How did you get it to work with ACC? I’ve done all the steps and it just flashes between the Ferrari and Thrustmaster logos

@@OldManPlaysDrivingSims I’m on PC. I sent the wheel back though. I liked it but I couldn’t get it to work with the original AC and AMS 2. I got it work with ACC but couldn’t justify that much money on a wheel that only worked with one game
sf1000 have gear problems and frozen screen problems, if you play on a ps4. Had the same problem on two sf1000 wheel add-on until I return it.
If you buy T-Chrono paddles may solve the problem for a while, it work for me for 4 months.. but the problem always comes back at some point.
Sf1000 has more problems too, if you own a T300-base then you will lose force feedback a lot.. you must buy a GT 2-base.
If you play on a PS4 don't buy sf1000 wheel add-on. it will cost a lot of money for something that doesn't work and a lot of time.
I've not tried mine on my PS4 yet, I sim race mainly on my PC...be really pissed off if these problems you refer to happen to me :-(

Thanks for the many questions answered. I was afraid I would have to wait till ACC support to be added, because it wasn't at launch. However I ordered mine specifically for F1 2022, I can now retire my F1 Ferrari rim that is now showing as a collector's item! I'm in the age range of your league would love to know more about it!
Do you think this wheel will make you quicker?
Doubtful a wheel alone will make the difference, the forces feel fairy similar to my old open wheel, however having all these buttons, rotary dials and screen will definitely help to adjust car settings easily on the fly…hopefully, that will translate to faster times 😀
How did you get your pedals to work with it my accelerator says it’s pushed down in the control panel when I’m not using the pedals
