I've wanted to go to college at some point for music education. But after I graduated high school in 2019, I started going to a two-year program for Early Childhood Education, as well as started my first ever job in retail as part of a job program. I graduated from both of those programs in 2021. Since then, I've been very proud of who I've become. I don't have the busiest life in the world, and I don't travel too much. And that's perfectly okay with me. I do, however, have a job that I really love, and has been very rewarding, I help my uncle with side jobs and events, I walk a lot, and I have my conducting hobby and my writing hobby, both of which I absolutely enjoy. The thing I'm the most proud of, though, is how I'm able to make myself available. You have to be willing to spend time with the people you love, working around the busy schedule you may have. Be proud of what you do. Thank you for this wonderful video, Mark. 👍

Although I partially agree - Don’t let survivorship bias cloud your judgement, don’t let this be an excuse to just give up. A Wise Man Once Said SCHOOL IS LIKE YOU CARRYING A HUGE BOULDER ON YOUR BACK AND THE LAST DAY IS LIKE DROPPING IT AND FINALLY BEING ABLE TO BREATHE AND REST. that wise man is me.
Well said👍
That’s nonsense.
That's fax
@@Bronte866 it is your existence that is nonsense

Exactly even top universities didn't even asked my class 10 grades that i achieved with intense pressure from society!! Forget about jobs even universities won't ask for class 10 grades!!
"your past doesn't determinate your future"
Thank you sir, i really needed to hear that
"Buy what you want, not what society expects."
Yes, this exactly!
School doesn't matter only for those who want to be entrepreneurs. But the world won't work only with entrepreneurs.
It's such a bad thing there many who are unaware and unable to access this kind of information and confirmation.
If you make 5 businesses and fail, remember 9/10 businesses aren’t successful, so keep going
End capitalism
Making one business is expensive enough already, who has enough money to try it 8 more times
Tbh i dont think most people have what it takes to start a business. Id rather people still go to school or go to trade school for a cheaper option. Everything is so optimized by big box stores so idk…
Bro explained “a piece of paper doesn't choose my future” to another level
It does, actually. Just to name one: if you dont learn to be polite in school, you aint doing shit in life. Just imagine speaking to your boss like you would with your lil brother. You life fucking ends there
@@TheRealRenAmamiyaI know you should be polite always, but if you are mean in School you will go to jail before you even get a job, and you don’t need to always be polite in certain situations, it’s ok to fight back physically and/or mentally if needed.
@@TheRealRenAmamiya if boss shits on you for no reason, just quit. Enduring some shit like that in long term, will make you a lil pussy.
Thank you sir i will do what you said “don’t give up to your dreams”
Education and knowledge are very valuable, but school is not necessary.
It does not define what we get to do with our lives
This is so true I remember failing English and thinking it would be the end of my life
That's unpossible
@@ntrg3248How that can happen?
I really needed to hear that. Your past doesn't determine your future. I think a lot of people needed to hear that.
it does matter. u learn from the mistakes of the past and improvise adapt overcome problems coming up in the future
@@QWERTY-gp8fd yes
@@QWERTY-gp8fd I think it is meant in the sense that just because you failed once doesn't mean your life is over and rather you can learn from your failures and become better
I’m 42 and I just became an engineer. I was doing housekeeping for UNM before this. I’m so proud of myself. Went from 12.50 and hour to 120,000 a year. So so proud of myself. It’s never to late to succeed
I think the zero hours contracts and low pay no longer allow us to progress as we did in the 80’s.
Business is obviously risky, but done in critical and analytical thinking, it's 80% chance of success💪
ye and if you take those two away, 70% of all new businesses fail
"Your past doesn't determine your future, all that matters is where you're going."
Bruh. You could have also lost everything and kept working in that can store or something for all life. School makes you sure about your future, not "rich". You are one in a million
people could misinterpret this and think that they don’t ‘need’ to try in school. you still have to get the best grades you can.
I remember teachers fed us this lie in 7th grade. I’m from Texas, and they tried getting us to take a standardized test from another State. I purposely bombed that exam and not a damn thing happened to me
I needed to hear this today, working a job I hate.
I love this guy because he talks to you like he’s your dad or grandpa. No condescending, no crap, just straight fax from a friendly guy.
Good point , we had to go to prestige schools from primary to secondary school then the exams nonsense . As you mention here most of the truly successful ones were self employed ❤️
Now that changed my entire life in 1min
Thank you pal, those are words we all needed to hear
“Past performance doesn’t predict future results”
MAD respect to this guy 🫡🫡🫡
This true discipline is seen in his powerful words. ❤❤
I really needed this, failing school in thid society feels like the end of the world sometimes, eventhough there are other options in the world
Not just failing in school, failing in general makes us feel like crap
We learn better out of school than in it.
That is incorrect
That may be true, but at the end of the day, if u want to be an engineer or doctor, they still want to see a piece of paper. If its like dancing or art, then ur probably right
These shorts never fail to entertain me!🗣💯🔥
Thx man you really opened my eyes 👀 GOD BLESS YOU 🙏
Thank you for this Mark...this is solid confirmation to smash societal norms and reach success!
I should have dropped out after middle school, worked for four years, gotten a GED, and then started taking classes at a community college. It would have been a hell of a lot cheaper than what I did.
True but it’s good to have a high school diploma at least. You don’t need it but it can help a lot more than a college degree at times
I’m so proud of you sir, success comes in with patients👍

Although I partially agree - Don’t let survivorship bias cloud your judgement, don’t let this be an excuse to just give up.
Putting it harshly, this guy is a rare example of someone successful who happened to leave school early. Think about everyone else who regrets their decision to leave school right now. Then decide if it’s the right decision for you.
Agreed
Tbf none of this guy's videos include anything most people don't already know, and some are just wrong, which shows how massive a factor luck really is
@@ronanconroy7672 grinding for 35 years isn't luck but the mindset that school has enforced into you makes you think that most successful school dropouts are lucky but those just sitting there weaping and moaning about drooping out blaming the past for their failures are a reason why this successful man is wrong is pathetic.
Let those hopeless people who were meant to fail even after completing school do what this guy did and let's see what happens.
Statistically most entrepreneurs fail, you do have to be very lucky to end up a multi millionaire from it. Hard work improves your chances but realistically if you want to work hard you're more likely to become a multi millionaire by becoming a doctor or engineer. @@zenkaienergy3135
true but not true. also think of everyone who did finish school and may as well not have. most do finish school and go nowhere in life. FYI, i'm a drop out and not a massive success, but i don't regret not doing well in school. i am on a path of self learning and business. i thought i was a failure but it was school that failed me. not me that failed school. i'm actually doing pretty well self learning and i'm try my best in business. if all fails, i can use my skills to land a job. life does suck tbh. it is what it is. school is not the be all end all.
I'm glad that our future doctors are going to be listening to this man. Fk education, focus on money and profit, get rich!!!
True, but I’m not dropping out of high-school.
I finished highschool with a 2.5 gpa. I’m in college now about to finish with high honors and a degree that I very much enjoy. No debt, fully paid for by scholarships and money I’ve made. I don’t believe school is necessary for anyone but I think it is a great option if you feel as though you will get something out of it and really enjoy what you are doing and the plans you have for your future. And I promise you that a college education when done right is much better than any grade school education. Not only do you have more specialized teachings, you have more resources, connections to your career path, and help finding a career that you want. Like I said though, you definitely don’t need it. But every single person is different with their own goals and personal situations.
@@pylo2841 community college for my associates, transferred to a college for my major. significantly cheaper and that’s when I realized that I need to get things together. I also recommend community college, it saved me a lot.
as an Indian, i can relate to this so much...
all my parents and relatives told me is:
"score good in 10th boards and life will be set"
"score good in 12th boards and life will be set"
"score good in college and life will be set"
ok boomers, when the actual frick will my life really be set?

So true
Your life will likely never be set
So live your life too
I need someone to convince all this to my parents lol I have been listening the same
there are many people who dropped out, he is just one of the rare people who become successful and even rarer to be popular on youtube
Thank you, I needed this because it’s midnight rn and i’ve been majorly stressing out about exams. I have a Spanish listening exam tmw and i haven’t really studied (i’ve been procrastinating a lot because the stress has just left me blank at this point) now i’m kinda less worried, tysm
The thing is, not everyone wants to make trash cans for $2 an hour, not everyone will live that inspiring story.
It's also 2024 and it's impossible to pull something like this anymore. The world is way more technologically complex and moves faster. I wish people like him stopped giving out this kind of advice and instead advocated for fair wages.
There is a good reason for it, in grade 3 I got bad grades and an elderly in my family told me I am going to end up in the streets in future. Kids are most vulnerable to getting their brain wired. The problem is so many unsuccessful, undetermined, unambitious and below average people randomly spitting out opinions.
Well my dad went to school, studied, got good grades, and it payed off.
Gets $200,000 works from home, and it was great
Same with me as well
Work at school and sometimes you may not need it, but I haven’t regretted the effort I’ve spent on school
Its like you know that i have to go to the exam today. Thanks for saying this, it calms me down someway

My teachers bouta get a whole lecture next time they tell me grades are important
right now am really struggling with school I have bad grades right now, my teachers making fun of how bad i am doing in school and this video actually motivated me
oh what grade are u

I am 14 as well. You should try your absolute best in school! But, if you fail, never let it decide whether or not you will have a comfortable life. Always strive for success regardless of the situation, find every opportunity, and take advantage of it.
Not doing well in school doesn’t mean you won’t do well in life but he got very lucky most people will struggle if they don’t do well in school unfortunately that’s the hard truth
well good for you man im so glad you ended up achieving your dreams even though nobody believed in you
Dear Sir, we dont took education for money or for a Job. We took education for personal development to discover ourselves and to Be Creative for the world.
All money will be rest in world but the act and deeds we learnt from education will benefit us for the eternity.
May God bless you Sir. Ameen.
If ur educational institutions provided with all benifits of knowledge and development, then good for you. But for most of us, only basic education has been helpful. Repetitive and pointless learning is generally what happens here
He was talking about school, not education.
You can be creative without School, in fact School just holds you back from being creative most of the time for like 14 or 15 straight years.
$2 an hour is probably less than Chinese child labor salary 😭😭😭💀💀💀
What he meant to say in a few words are… 99% OF GAMBLER QUIT BEFORE THEY HIT BIG🤑🗣️💯🔥
Jobs pay against a degree level. If you do your own business and you are lucky to make it survive, you have a chance.
What would you do if it businesses fucked up?
As a teacher, I never tell my students that grades are eveything. I see talents and skills in all my kids, and some if them just dont shine in a classroom, but its obvious that they will still succeed in life
Thank you for this. I needed this. I really needed this. I knew it deep down, I just needed another human being to say it.
This guy is the master oogway of economics
I have a friend who did not pick up their diploma, after a couple of months he decided to call to arrange a date to pick it up, they told him they have lost it and there is nothing they can do, since they can’t prove he has been studying there
yeah i never learned anything from school that’s important and i learned sales taxes from my mom in less than a few minutes
