Brian Donlevy, Ella Raines, and Charles Coburn were great actors. It's sad that Donlevy and Raines both died from throat caner and they were both smokers. Great movie, and this is my third time watching it.
It's true. I was just at the movies yesterday and the actors mumble entire phrases that cannot be understood. Also many actors in the old movies were theatre trained and knew how to articulate their words.

Tout y est, une excellente distribution, un scénario qui tient la route. C'est peut-être exagéré mais depuis 1949, quels sont les films américains produits qui ont été des chefs d'œuvre ? Car hormis ceux qui encensent les États-Unis, ceux qui sont des films de propagande, le reste c'est du Pretty Woman voire pire. Beaucoup citeront Intouchable, qui a battu des records d'audience grâce aux médias là pour influencer quand ce n'est pas pour manipuler et façonner les gens. Dire qu'avant le journaliste était la Sentinelle du peuple, c'est bien loin ! ^^

Dislike these fake women and overly emotional men who allow themselves to be used.Real women were not so overly spoiled back then, just a Hollywood scam.
