You have nothing but pure talent, oh yes let's not forget that you also play a guitar like you were born with it and most likely more instruments. OK, I am actually trying to breathe for just a second while I reply to this video. Just like the person below I just found Tori on my regular feed for some reason. She was singing a Karen Carpenter song. The only reason that I kept replaying the song was because I believed she was lip syncing it. There is no way humanly possible that someone could get so close to a unique voice. I was wrong after researching and studying I was wrong. I am around 50 years old and I can honestly say the first crush that I can remember was Olivia Newton-John. I don’t know. I guess I was around five or six. I have actually loved her ever since. Not only do you sound like her in this song, if everyone will take a second to look real close at Tori face when she’s singing , I swear she reminds me so much of a 20 something year old Olivia Newton-John, don’t believe me go back and look it must be her mannerisms or something. OK I’m so sorry for being long-winded. I really believe the world is actually watching a star formed right before our eyes, Tori good luck, stay humble, and trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. God bless.🙏🏼

My Gen was in the late '70s( and '80s too).Regarding this i personally concluded that Karen and Olivia were the best standalone female voices in the mainstream pop music scene ever getting in my top 3 along with the utopic blending of the Swedish ABBA girls Agnetha+ Frida.

I just can't get over how beautiful your voice is. You do Karen and Olivia great justice of course but you manage to have your own tone at the same time. You are simply stunning. If you're looking for another ONJ song please, please do Falling. The turn she does at the end of the bridge at 2:32 leading into the guitar solo is one of my top 5 favorite musical moments of all time. And to put it into perspective John William's Binary Sunset from Star Wars is also on that list. It's simply a magical piece of musical genius. Tori, Olivia Newton John was a big fan of Karen Carpenter. Olivia attended Karen's funeral. Another singer that was a big fan of Karen's was Petula Clark.
Abba's Agnetha Faltskog also confessed in a 2013 interview being a big admirer of Karen and told a story on how they all met.Karen also covered ABBA's 'Thank you for the music" in 1978.
I've watched news report footage from Karen's funeral.Olivia was seen there running like a lost bird or smth.She suffered by her loss.Now i wish God Rest them in peace both.

I saw your WTOP interview, I am a 70's child born in 1968 and you do sound like Karen Carpenter. I know because the first time i heard you I was like wow. My mother sounds a lot like her if i can get her to sing and she was also like wow when i played her your tik tok video to her. I love seeing younger generations getting into the older music because after 1990 rock music was garbage to most of us older farts. Great job on the Olivia tunes and good luck. She’s done both as short videos. Mellow is nuts, she goes so high. People complain about her “Basement” we’ll listen to that one. Karen never went that high.

I have been an Olivia Newton-John fan all of my life. When she passed it really left a gap in my musical life. You have a wonderful take on her music. @@jbs256 yes, and there is one out there doing split screens of that performance next to Karen's. At one point they flip it to Karen's video, but with Tori vocals and if you aren't paying attention to the writing on the screen, you don't even realize that they swapped it up.
