BURY FC

Established in 1885, Bury were founder members of the Lancashire League in 1889, and were crowned champions in the 1890-91 and 1891-92 seasons, before being elected to The Football League (now known as the EFL) in 1894.
Bury Football Club is an English association football club based in Bury, Greater Manchester, England. The team finished the 2018-19 season as runners-up in EFL League Two, the fourth tier of the English football league system. However, on 27 August 2019, Bury were expelled from the Football League due to unpaid debts and poor ownership.

Abandoned in the sense that there's no staff nothing no one looking after the ground etc it's completely deserted ,who knows whats going to happen with bury fc 🤔

The problem now is if Bury FC eventually go into liquidation and cease to exist any phoenix club will have no legal claims on Gigg Lane as legally AFC Bury or whatever title is chosen would have no legal connection to Bury FC. The only connection would be purely emotional.
