The cleaner's carbine is actually so-named because the sniper was cleaning out his freezer and found a bunch of old frozen peas, which he uses as the ammo...

That's how I used to be, but when I got my hands on an AWP I started to get more headshots. I'm pretty sure it's because your team will support you more of you have hats and an AWP

When ever I got the Awp I suddenly became more prone it head shoots than a default sniper rifle so what I conceded be p2p does make you a better player

The overall problem with the mini sentry is that it doesn't die as easily as it should. I mean, the whole idea was for it to be a disposable weapon, and yet it often sticks around longer than a normal sentry.
There are two nerfs I can think of that would make it less of a nuisance yet still useful. First, reduce its max health to 85-90, so it can be killed by a single direct rocket hit, rewarding a player with a steady, patient aim. Second, reduce the amount of knockback per bullet by 50-75%, or even just eliminate the knockback entirely. Right now it actually does more knockback than a normal lvl 1 sentry, which seems absurd considering the regular sentry does greater dps.
Damn.

I thought people who thought the Mini Sentry was OP went away with that bug fix a while ago.
They are REALLY easy to dispose of. They are supposed to be a slight distraction to help with the team or butter up enemies for your team to kill, or try to prevent scouts from doing clever scout things like go back to spawn and take out the tele.
Really, just be glad that there usually aren't that many engies who are bold enough to put there level 3's in spots minis go. They don't take as much time to build as you think. Really, level 2 is pretty good as well. I guess minis can possibly be OP on Hightower, but sentries IN GENERAL are OP on that map.

Mr Shinjun Oh I'm definitely glad they fixed that sneaky little bug. Ever since then, things have been fine. I just think it might be interesting to do some tweaking and see what happens.
Personally I've always loved the idea of the mini-sentry, especially for this: it doesn't attract as much attention as your typical engie nest. Normal sentries seem to bring every single spy, demo, and uber'd soldier/heavy out of the woodwork, while mini-sentries just aren't quite enough to make the team decide to deal with it.
But yeah, usually when I find that there are gunslinger engies on the enemy team, I make it my mission to hunt them down and harass them to all hell. Then they either change classes or quit altogether.
Play comp and see how easily and quickly your mini gets destroyed. I'm so tired of everyone thinking mini op when I've never had a problem with it. It's the lvl 3's that are a pain. I wouldn't care about the knockback nerf though so that seems ok to me. Having it have 100 or less health though would be ridiculously pathetic.
I remember this video. It was the first Star_ video i ever watched and it stuck in my mind forever. This video just seems to perfectly express All of Stars personality and its great. Its just one of those videos you can watch over and over and it not be boring...for me atleast.

I think everything is fair about the pyro except for the flare gun. It takes everything that you can counter the pyro with and just throws it out the window because he can put you on fire from across the map.

Skymoon light He pretty much stole the idea from Freddy TF2, which I know, some people actually used carbine and whacka but Freddy was the first to show the combo. Muselk also sucks at comp tf2 and plays on valve servers and his own server, but most of them are Valve servers. He also stages and takes a lot off stuff from other youtubers like Frankieonpcin1080p

So STAR_ your viewers would love another story time. It's been a while since the last one. Don't feel obliged to draw/sketch anything for it, you could just have gameplay going on in the background and update us on stuff: stories, what's been going on in your life, etc. We love those videos. And feel free to make it like an hour long or as long as you want, pretty sure none of us would mind.
I agree. Last on was a year ago, back when his videos were a little more sincere. Honestly, I miss his old videos, when all of the TF2 community didn't know about him. They seem more personal than his new ones, I don't know why.

ss4kel here's a trick to easily get rid of hackers on servers that allow voting.
they change their name to protect themselves from getting kicked but it doesn't change their avatar so you ca easily tell who the hacker is when choosing the person you want to kick, also if you want to be heroic you can always kick the guy when he has your name! you can't kick yourself!

Star_ if you scope in to quickly and even if you are pointing directly at the head, it will count as a body shot, you need to wait at least 0.5 seconds before the headshot will register. Like so Star_ can see.
I don't think likes count for anything anymore with this new comment system. I've heard that REPLIES to the comment are what keeps it at the top of the list these days. Then again, I've seen a lot of comments with tons of responses disappear into the ether without a trace. It seems completely random which comments stay and which ones go. Either way, Likes don't mean anything anymore.

I swear this is moment in tf2 were I see this one guy who has played 1 class since the goldrush update. I mean Ill see a guy covered in unsuals just walking around always as(sniper,scoot,or ambassador spy) and they'll look at me and it's like this split second were thier like. I'm going to kill you now and I'm like I know your gunna kill me now. And then they right click on my head and I died. Really I'll see someone the instantly get killed by hem mainly as sniper
star is actually a king at sniper. he doesnt wait for the enemy sniper to aim first, and he still hits heads all day.

I find the cleaner's carbine to work really well with the Huntsman, serverely hurt them with the huntsman, then pick them off with the cleaner.
same with the normal one too tho.
You know, I've put in a lot of time into sniping in TF2, so I'm pretty good at it. I've always HATED the smg, both the stock and the cleaners carbine because you almost never hit anybody with it, so I just use the danger shield and protect myself with noscope shots because I'm farly good at that. I watched this video, and decided to try to use the carbine instead... I got absolutely nothing done with it... I have no idea how you do that, STAR_! Kudos to you for actually being able to USE the friggin SMG and do anything at all with it.
SMG has its uses, but it definitely isn't necessary. I find it is a playstyle choice. Lately, I've been having great fun with the SMG.
Jarate and bushwacka are the ultimate combo. That's what I roll with.
It is a good combo. I personally prefur the danger shield because of the hp bonus and small chance to survive a headshot, and then I use the bat outta hell because who doesn't like to beat people up with a skull attached to a spine?

54321stickman I do have fair aim. The bullet spread just makes it completely useless when I use it. The danger shield is hardly something that should piss off enemy snipers... the chance of surviving a headshot is minimal. At least 90% of the time I get headshot I still die right away despite having the DDS equipped. Then when I headshot an enemy sniper who survives it because of the DDS, I don't mind, because it happens. Although... I do think that chance to survive a headshot should be moved from the DDS to the sydney sleeper, because you can't get headshots with that weapon. I'd be perfectly happy if they do that.

Star, you don't need to try that hard to make all these complicated videos. Just keep making live commentaries like these and we'll be happy.

The Cleaners Carbine is NOT a carbine it's a submachine gun. A carbine is a short rifle, and if you look at it and the description you can clearly see that it's a submachine gun.

Well, let's see. The ham shank is about .66, or 6 scrap, and the carbine is, of course, half a scrap. So, in conclusion, the Ham-to-carbine ratio is a good 12:1. You're welcome, STAR.
Valve should have a huge apology with the winter update this year for the lack of weapons. What would make me happy is 1 new weapon for every class, and even sexier, is if they go further than that. Hats are cool. Just that it's stupid to see hundreds of new hats every update but nothing new that actually adds to the game anymore.

Hey Star, i see you've developped a technic where you aim at a point where you know the person will go on, and you shoot when he passes on your point. You don't do that everytime, but it's not a very good thing if you really want to improve at sniping, not to say you're bad ;)
Its ambush method sniping. There is follow and lead sniping, and ambush sniping, and these arent even game references they are military sniper references. You can follow your target and lead your shot based on his movement, or you can control a single point or the area near it and fire as people cross your firing line.
What else would you recommend? Follow the person's head? Predicting where your opponent will be next and preparing for a headshot as he/she passes by is a very reliable method

OOOOH, i agree on all accounts. The main reason I never got a strange sniper rifle of any kind is because the AWP is so much cooler.

Have to agree with that. All the games you upload you do amazingly well at. People seem to line up for you and make bad decisions that allow you to mop up even when you yourself make awful decisions for the sake of "let's do it!".
Then when something is not going exactly your way you quit and find another server. Should I just start doing that? Because I tend to stick around and help my team even if we are not doing so well.

Wait, people use the half zatoichi on soldier still? I remember when people did that when it first came out but, now it's just a staple for some demoknights.
Well I actually gave it a try when i used this loadout : Rocket Jumper, Reserve Shooter, and the half Zatoichi. I actually kicked ass because all i had to do was rocket jump to an enemy and I would demolish them.
When you go from a weapon that does no random crits to a regular crits weapon.
Its a bit mind blowing...

Demoknights with the Half Zatoichi and the Splendid Screen, with boots to go with it. The downside of the Zatoichi is just gone completely, and in exchange they get a ridiculous bonus. If its crits are removed, it'd be fine, but until then it just wins too many fights.
yeah normally a head collecting demoknight would never think to charge a spun up heavy.
but with the charge crit dealing 195.
you just need another 2-3 hits and theres always a high chance or random crits.
and if you win you get all your health back. :)
I think the carbine got buffed. Sure, I love the crits, but 3 seconds? Ain't gunna do for me. You can easily for a streak with the bushwacka with the minicrits.
