I always prep for interviews, but today I prepped using TH-cam videos and came across your channel. After listening to 2 videos, I felt more confident and properly prepared than I have in quite a long time. Thanks!
You could also interpret tip number 2 in the sense that you are the expert about YOU. The interviewer is there to learn about you, they can't read your mind. So relax, breathe, and tell them about the topic that you know best: yourself
I have an interview tomorrow and you're a God send. I've read and scoured the internet for articles and your channel has everything I need for advancing my career 💖
Linda, I watched this video one hour before I walked into my interview, and I felt SO COMFORTABLE. Some of these tips I was totally not expecting, but they helped me to calm down. Thank you so much!
Dear Linda, I cannot tell you how grateful I am to have found your channel. Your tips resonate so much wih me that I am actually misty-eyed now as I type this. I will have a job interview tomorrow, and your tips help me a lot in preparing my session. I don’t know how it will end, but you have reminded me of my values I bring to the table, and I will go on from there with confidence. Thank you once again.
I really like the passion you display in your videos and also the depth of your content. It's always fresh, pleasant to ears and easily digestible. Keep up the good work, Linda; Way to go!
@@damsbb2440 went Well. I think I did well, but I think the other candidate either did better or was preferred for one reason or the other. Though the organisation didn't bother to call/write back after a month to tell me if I was accepted or not. I mean with just two candidates at the last stage, what's so hard? I had to call them to ask.
I love your channel so much! I’m job shadowing tomorrow and I’m competing against 7-9 other people for this specific job. I feel my interview went very well. Your videos have helped me so much and so far, they’ve worked!
i watched this reluctantly thinking i knew already, then this! wow it really helped!! i never ever be myself !!!! i must be myself at interviews and forget the fake enthusiasm as you said!!! thanxx
Hi Linda. I have gone through most of your videos. I just like to express my gratitude for these helpful videos. I think you will help a lot of people. keep it up!
I really enjoyed this video Linda. I felt it helped me to realize that I must be myself and no one else. Be present and practice before going to the interview
Thumbs up all the way!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍 Getting ready for an interview today been practicing and researching since yesterday. Now this is the perfect final piece and it just grounded me. Never felt so ready. Thank you so much!!!
Thank you Linda. I am one of those who get really nervous in an interview. At time I go blank. Waiting to be called for an interview and hopefully I will excel.
I found your video because I felt I may be a bit TOO enthusiastic in interviews. I do have a ton of energy and its difficult to contain. I have an interview tomorrow and I really need to dial it down quite a bit, but not so much that I look uninterested or bored. Since this isn't natural for me I'm a bit terrified. Your suggestion to visualize is what I will spend my day doing. Thank you for this.
Hi Linda Is there a video that helps answer the interview question "Give an example of using your own initiative, it can be non work related" ? I spend my life using my initiative (in fact I am demonstrating that by gathering support for my job search!) But what does the interviewer want ?
You are terrific in what you do. Great congrats to you Linda! One suggestion, you can leave your points written in a corner of the screen, something like a posit.
@@endezeichengrimm I legit had an interviewer cross her arms during an interview. I knew I wasn't going to get a callback from her. Funny thing is, she wasn't even happy working there, she literally snorted in derision when I asked about performance reviews and said, "If only we had them". This was a small accounting firm and the person who interviewed me wasn't even HR because they didn't have one. She was just an accountant who didn't want to be stuck interviewing candidates.
I need to start my own agency. I am burnt out on this interviewing process and jumping through hoops for insecure, corporate mules. Corporate culture simply isn't for me. I am not cut out for it. There is just too much ass kissing required.
phix u have an entrepreneurial spirit, I feel you on this. You want your own and you deserve it, some people are not best designed to answer to a boss but to be the boss. Great video also!
This made me feel good about myself and made me realize that I have alot to offer. I've been seeing myself as less than hoping for the job just like you said. This is really good advice.. It definitely changed my mindset
Hey Linda, can you make a video on post-interview Thank you email? I know nowadays there are lots of websites offering templates, but I don't find most of them to be "personified" for the hiring manager. I would like to obtain some inspiration from you, thanks.
I'm so glad that I came across your channel. I have a final interview on this Thursday. I am one of the two final candidates and pray that I can convey that I'm the best fit by being my authentic self. Interviews are truly nerve wrecking... I can help others and give great advice all day but applying it to myself is a different story. I to am very sensitive and quite critical of myself. I can't get pass my self judging during the interview. :-(
Thank you so much for these videos. I'm learning a lot, and I hope I'm able to remember what I need to. Your first tip about enthusiasm: I see what you're saying, and it makes sense. Here's my question: what do you do when that is your true self? I'm an enthusiastic, excitable person by nature and trying to curb that is incredibly difficult for me to do! I know people get overwhelmed by how enthusiastic I can be, and I certainly don't want to do that, especially to an interviewer. When I tone down my enthusiasm, however, I don't feel as genuine. So this tip is putting me into a bit of a quandary!
This was more so three tips on mindset and delivery not physical body language (sit up straight, lean in, smile, moderate hand gestures, nodding, eye contact, tone matching). I think the tips are great nevertheless. But in connection with that fabulous study where the words might mean less than the body language it would be immensely valuable to go over these strong body language cues that win interviews :)
Great video! I have an interview tomorrow and I have been going crazy trying to rehearse the right answers! 😫 I am afraid that it’s going to make me sound like I’ve been rehearsing! This helps so much!
Miss Linda...... Love at first time with you n ur videos n tips... though it's my first time I really m in love with ur videos... Thankyou so much being very helpful... Allthe best for the coming videos
Thank you for this video, i really enjoyed watching it. Actually i can't be at ease during the interview because i am feeling nervous as we all experienced. But thank you for this reminders I'll keep in mind.
You act and speak in a natural way in this video, and more trusty than. in newer videos. Just a feedback. Your. videos are great but are better when no "overacting" as superprofessional in the latest videos, my impression. Anyhow. thanks for your job, pretty good.
Can you make a video focusing on how to PRACTICE feeling good/ confident? That was a very interesting part, about how we "practice feeling bad" a lot growing up.
This is very helpful. Thank you. I must say that the job search process is going to be a big roadblock to a lot of people. There's a lot of unemployment in my country and the way preparing, looking for, and getting a job is at the moment, it looks to me to be a big contributing factor. A lot of roadblocks are put in place but not a lot of facilitators/facilitations which is peculiar. Thank god at least there are many helpful people on TH-cam and elsewhere streamlining the process a little.
Hola Linda, el estudio que comentás al principio es el realizado por Frank Bernieri de la Universidad de Toledo? Gracias! Hermoso contenido, siempre es un placer escucharte.
02:42 - Interviewers want to feel at ease.
04:30 - You’re the expert, so be the expert!
05:43 - Be present every second that you’re there!
1. interviewers want to at ease
2. Be the expert
3. Be fully present at the interview
She gives the best advice that ive seen on youtube. It all comes down to one thing - how you feel about yourself and your vibrations
Vibrations is the wrong word...
I always prep for interviews, but today I prepped using TH-cam videos and came across your channel. After listening to 2 videos, I felt more confident and properly prepared than I have in quite a long time. Thanks!
Never go for an interview with empty stomach, feeling hungry and weak
and with flatulence
This is so basic but is sooo important. I’ve definitely ignored my physical before and later realized I should’ve been more prepared.
This is valid advice.
