I'm a bisexual man, but I totally resonate with the experience of being attracted to both members of a TV couple! Beck and Jade from Victorious, and Alex and Mason from Wizards of Waverly Place both really jump out to me as being...formative lol
Growing up in a conservative evangelical home, it never occurred to me until my twenties that I might be bisexual. Looking back, there were obvious crushes on female characters and stars-Belle, Batgirl, Cat Woman, Poison Ivy (especially in Batman the animated series), Courtney Draper, Brie Larson, Jane Seymour, Susan Ivanova, everyone in Cruel Intentions, and so many more.
For me I am pretty positive there were some girl characters that I might’ve liked more in a romantic way than just liked the character in general and a platonic way. It’s difficult to know for sure. I probably didn’t realize that bc I was young and I didn’t know abt anything other than straight. My parents are very accepting and they never try to hide being gay away from me but I just never learned about it until I think late elementary school
Relate to ALL of those. The stick it scene is burned to my brain. Girlie, do you remember the Spy Kids parents? THAT was my bi awakening moment. Like, the feels were felt and suppressed ✌🏻
Speaking of Spy Kids, I definitely had a huge crush on Demetra from Spy Kids 3. Even though she was a glitch or whatever, she was definitely a hot glitch 😂 And Carmen was pretty hot too.
Carmen isss. I totally forgot abt how much I loved Spy Kids until I read this comment. But fr tho, why is my type badass girls in cartoon shows I watched as a kid. Agshsghsgdhhsjsn
@daddyhannah Also funny story, I saw the trailer for Stick It years before I saw the actual movie because it was on one of our most watched DVD's (remember when we had those before your movies at home? Lol) and once I finally saw it I was like, yes. This is exactly what I expected and more, thank you very much
My bi awakening was Sabrina Carpenter in 2017 when I was a teenager, but I always found redheads to be super pretty growing and I never knew that they would actually become crushes for me. I loved Anna from Frozen, Ginny from Harry Potter, Anne from Anne With An E, Amy Adams (specifically Giselle), Demelza in Poldark.
Sabrina Carpenter being an awakening is so relatable- I remember thinking she was *so* pretty and thinking I just wanted to be like her. In reality, I actually had a massive crush on her 😂
I’m asexual/aromantic so I literally never understood crushes at all (part of me still doesn’t lol). I grew up in a fairly conservative Christian family so I was very confused why everyone else had crushes on classmates and celebrities and movie/show characters, and yet I had absolutely none. I learned about a sexuality when I was about 25 or 26 and I remember thinking “man I wish I was asexual, then I’d have an excuse for why I never find anyone attractive”… it took another year before I truly figured it out 😅 it’s never too late to discover/learn things about yourself!
Omg Brendan Fraser & Rachel Weisz in The Mummy & The Mummy Returns was DEFINITELY one of THE "sweetie you're bi" moments for me. But I feel like I never hear anyone also talk about Patricia Velasquez as Anck-Su-Namun (her alive form not her crusty mummy form lol). Like the golden body paint "costume" was a MOMENT and omg her flash-back fight scene with Rachel Weisz in The Mummy Returns! I truly don't know how I didn't see the signs 😂😂
Okay so I am a guy who is Bisexual and I love that I was into all of the girls that you pick too, but *also* half the guys from the same series too and was just like "Hm. Why do I think both are hot!? I am so confused!" Man, when I found out the term 'Bisexual' existed SO MANY THINGS JUST CLICKED.
Every single one of these was spot on and made me feel very seen. As a bisexual woman who’s never had a romantic relationship with another woman, I often wonder if I’m actually bisexual or if everyone feels this way. Hannah, thank you for making me feel validated 💛💛
Mine were Lexa from The 100, watched that when I was like 12. She was a antagonist/love interest for the protagonist of that show. It was also one of the first shows I’d seen with a queer protagonist. I loved it. And then there was Santana from Glee, when I was about 13. I’m sure there are loads from earlier that I just didn’t realize back then, but these are the ones where I started being aware of it.
My Bi awakening was Katie McGrath as Morgana Pendragon in Merlin. Repressed that until I was about 26, when I realized I was Bi. Since then anything Katie McGrath has done I’ve been a thirsty bitch over. Like, her most recent role as The Adjudicator in the John Wick prequel “The Continental”…I’m unwell! She makes a half mask and purple makeup look so good! Now, at 30…I find characters like Peggy Carter from the Marvel Universe, Rebecca Welton from Ted Lasso, The Witch Mother from Hocus Pocus 2, Maleficent, Sin Rostro from Jane the Virgin, Lou Clark from the movie “Me Before You” and Poison Ivy from DC’s Harley Quinn are my cup of tea 😂. Now, as far as the men goes: Steve Rogers, Shang-Chi and Scott Lang from Marvel, Brendan Fraser in George of the Jungle, Wade from Disney Pixar’s Elemental, Tom Webster from the movie “Last Christmas” and Jack from Mary Poppins returns.
Eris from Sinbad, absolutely yes! For me it wasn’t so much a “sexual awakening” as it was a “girls are super pretty” awakening, but I agree with this list, and I would like to add Roxanne from A Goofy Movie. And… 2004 Catwoman with Halle Berry.
Omg Eris the Goddess of Chaos was my first awakening at six! The way she was animated so fluidly and wispy, the animators totally knew what they were doing lol!
Shego, yes! At a certain point, it felt like I only watched the show for her, lol. I'm 23 and only accepted I'm bi when I was 19-20, and my family still doesn't know, but aside from Shego, my (female) awakening characters were; Holli Would, Lola Bunny, Chel, Meg (Hercules), Miss Bellum (Powerpuff Girls), Kida (Atlantis Lost Empire), Jessie (Pokemon), some Sims characters, Bulma, Launch and Android 18 from DB/DBZ, Buffy the vampire slayer, Fergie and P!nk. I also remember really liking this one newscaster, so I'd always watch the news with my dad to see her.
I watched The Road to El Dorado and Pirates of the Caribbean in the same year (I was 11) and when I tell you the combination of Tulio/Che and Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom did things to my little, innocent brain...
YAS for the Mummy!!!!!! Kida from Atlantis was a huge one for me too! PS I now have to go watch Stick It! I've never seen it! One for me, is that immortal woman in Death Becomes Her. I think the character's name was Lisle maybe.
As a gay guy who is the same age as you, I remember two animated character that were my sexual awakening: Prince Cornelius in the animated Don Bluth Thumbelina (a literally fairy prince, omg) and then *very specifically* Jafar's transformation into a huge red genie. Not for his face, but like... that size??? Those muscles??? OOF. That's a whole lotta man, lmao. 😅
I am quite a bit older than you and you unlocked a core bisexual memory for me when you were talking about the collage on your door. I had a collage of all celebrities and crushes I had- male and female on my door and it was so well done that my (now) ex husband and I bonded over making him a collage for his wall in his bedroom- there was, unsurprisingly, a lot of overlap. Also you should totally be Poison Ivy for Halloween.
Forgot to add my characters! The Mummy, just everyone in that movie. Also pretty much everyone in Gia. My parents were visibly uncomfortable with my obsession with Angelina Jolie, and the movie "But I'm a Cheerleader!" Honorable mentions include Dana Scully, Olivia Benson, and Willow from Buffy. This is for sure not a full list. I have been very bisexual for a very long time.
Alexandria Daddario in the Percy Jackson movie did something to me. Shego was definitely one of my bi awakenings as well. Jade from Victorious. Faith from Buffy. Lucy Lawless from Xena. Michelle Rodriguez in basically anything. I have a thing for badass women and if they stepped on me, I’d say thank you.
I WAS SO OBSESSED WITH STICK IT! I feel like that was the beginning of my thing for masc women, because i was SO into the main character, she knew how to skate and do bike stunts and then they went and put her in a tight outfit and i lost it
Hi, born in 2003 here and my most eye-rollingly obvious one is Daphne from scooby do mystery inc when daphne joins the hex girls and starts calling herself Crush. I think I was still in primary school and it was right at bedtime when she started singing but I stayed up for HOURS rewinding and watching that moment but all I could think of as a reason why is that I must want to be a singer like her 😂😂 I used to be so pure ❤ Lobed this video so much x
Ruby rose in the pitch perfect 3 riff off. I would watch it over and over again "for the music" and just stare at her lol 12 year old me was very confused 😂. Also my 18th birthday oresent next year WILL be a subscription to the Daddy Hannah Patreon lol i love this channel so much!!
Hannah...we are SO alike lmao. Almost every single girl on this list is also on MY list. And I ALSO was in denial until my late 20s ajsdklj. But also from The Mummy and The Mummy Returns we GOTTA mention Anck-Su-Namun. Especially that fight scene between her and Evie in the second movie?? 11 yr old me seeing that in theaters...that was certainly a time. Basically this whole video was me screaming 'YES! EXACTLY! THAT'S ME!' So well done lol. I know there are honestly so many others that in retrospect it's like, 'ohhhh...I was just really into her', but god I can't remember any right now. But it's always so nice to know that others were just like me growing up haha
I LOVE mythology and Eris is one of my favourite mythological figures, and I have the DVD of Sinbad still, because the only other time I think any show/movie mentioned her was in like Xena/Hercules, where they called her Discord. So seeing her be the central figure like she was in Sinbad was so cool to me, but also, the voice cast was all like A-list stars, so it's so weird to me that so few people watched that movie or that it wasn't more popular.
THE ICE BATH SCENE IN STICK IT. THEE SCENE!!!! I have quite a few of the same one (Eris, Shego, etc). But the one who finally broke down the closet door for me was Lucy Liu in Elementary, when I was 18 or 19
I also had an Emma Watson shrine on my bedroom door (it had red carpet photos too, and some Keira Knightley snuck in there as well lol) , and it was when I was discussing that with a friend a few years ago that i started thinking "girl, that's a little bit 💅!" Thinking back, red outfit jasmine, ferngully, Brink, and Anastasia (for BOTH leads, bi realness) got replayed A LOT at my house...🏳️🌈💜
I am cracking up over y’all’s reactions to the Toxic music video because the same thing happened to me!! (For me it was the whole flight attendant scene.)
Alex from wizards of waverly place (especially the Stevie and Alex storyline), Zendaya when she started getting in her makeup era (was I obsessed with her flawless makeup or her), Orlando bloom and Kiera Knightly in Pirates of the Caribbean
Big ones for me were Tauriel from the hobbit, and Catherine Zeta Jones from the legend of Zoro…like that scene with the flirty fight??? Had my jaw on the floor ALWAYS
I used to have the Sinbad movie on dvd and im CERTAIN that that movie was my bi awakening. The amount of times I rewinded the Eris scenes, good grief. Sinbad himself was the begining of my pirate crush phase. THE MERMAIDS SCENE. ERIS' BATHTUB SCENE?!?!?!? And don't get me started on Marina, I know she's not that popular but holy shit. My response to my atraction to women as a kid used ro be aggression, like it made me feel things and didnt know how to face it so i did so negatively. So Sinbad was a huge exception for me because I LOVED every single character in that movie.
ERES!!!!!! THANK YOU omg I freaking love Sinbad and she is one of the reasons she's an amazing and chaotic villain and I wanted her celestial bathtub with the all of the bubbles everywhere.
This, ALL of this 👏 Especially the part about thinking you were just a girly girls girl and looked up to certain women/characters, then realizing later that’s not why you loved them….so spot on
i absolutely love u hannah u’re so real for this and jazmin so true🤭 i would say some of mine were jade from victorious, rory and lorelai gilmore, santana from glee💔 i could go on
I'm 16 so I wasn't growing up when you were but I gotta say I agree with literally all of these. A big one for me personally was April O'Neil in the live action 1990's TMNT movie. Oh and princess Kida from Atlantis and also Captain Amelia from treasure planet.
When you said no Disney princesses made the list I was over here yelling "HOW IS JASMINE NOT ON THIS LIST?!"... I'm so glad you changed your tune on this. There's also one other clip besides the red outfit that's a CORE awakening moment for me ;)
You pretty covered them all but one of my defining females was Roxanne from "A Goofy Movie" in the beginning in Max's dream sequence when she's wearing the long white flowy dress and softly calling out to him
okay for nearly every one of these my response was "omg forreal" and then for the stick it scene? omfg that hit so hard. that movie, that scene- it changed lives. I'm also just remembering- there was an elliot page movie about roller derby that came out in the late 2000s(?), I think maybe whip it? I think I only saw it max x2, but I can remember every scene of that movie omg I was obsessedddd with all these powerful gorgeous women- turns out not just bc I wanted to be them, huh.
from the top of my head: angelina jolie in mr. and mrs. smith, jessica alba as invisible woman, ann reinking in annie the movie, and annasophia robb in bridge to terebithia
A lot of yours on the list were also awakenings for me, but another one is the princess (I don't remember what she was actually called besides princess) that was in the bathtub in 13 ghosts. I only realized that one like a week ago, but I didn't know why I loved that movie so much, but I think that's definitely one of the bigger reasons 🤣
as an asexual I used to be so confused when people talked about their sexual awakenings. I was like... yeah I remember loving danny phantom when I was younger, he's cool, I would date him I guess... that was as close as i got lol. so thanks for the deep dive lol
My bi awakening was literally just watching Sailor Moon in my formative years and later watching Fairy Tail in 2009. Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Neptune, and Sailor Uranus and the majority of the Fairy Tail characters really did it for me. Honorable mentions though include Velma and also Fred from the second Scooby Doo and Josh and Jen during their Hunger Games era
Second time, but I had to agree on Stick It, wowzer! Slave Leia and Charlie’s Angels (Cameron, Lucy, and Drew) were my other notable media moments. The number of times I replayed the dance in the Treasure Chest in the second movie! Also all scenes where Lucy used a whip… I have to go fan myself now!
Haha it was only 2 years ago when I actually had my full awakening and I'm 41! That was no character - Dua Lipa shook it out of me. SHOOK I tell ya. But looking back I can definitely agree with Jasmine specifically in red, plus Lydia in Beetlejuice, and absolute bi panic in BTVS between Faith and Spike, I just didn't know what those feelings were. Evangelical suppression is a hell of a thing. So glad the fog has lifted and I can appreciate how hot everyone is 😄
I'm 34, so sorta in the middle there. I'm just gay. Faith is everything. I adore Willow/Tara and I want to be Amber Benson, but it was always Faith/Buffy for me.
OMG yes Faith! (42 here). I remember she showed up dressed in black leather, asked "are we alone here, Leicester?", then took out a knife - and I almost fell over. I also went gaga over Max in Dark Angel. Right before I came out, it was Katherine Pierce on The Vampire Diaries and me going, "she's so awesome I just love her" not realizing I was all 👁️👄👁️
My girlfriend and I have theorized for years that The Mummy is a formative experience for all queer millennials, so thanks for continuing to prove us right.
Omg as a bisexual women, my big woman awakenings were Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Leia but specifically when she's in that red outfit in Jabba the Huts place. More recent but a really big "I love them both moment" was Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann from Pirates of the Caribbean
I love that so many of us bi women had similar experiences! I think because girls in general are more open about complementing each other, i just assumed feelings i had didnt mean anything and it was how everyone was feeling but i can recognize now all the times i had a crush on another girl. I’m a bit older than you, but some of my core moments are Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman and that one scene in Xena where her and Gabrielle were bathing together in a pond. I was/am obsessed with Lois Lane and Clark Kent as a couple, and they are exactly my type, nerdy men and strong women.
Oh man, most of your list was also my list when I looked back at my favorite characters from my youth and they were all gorgeous ladies... hilarious. The only one that's coming to mind right now that you didn't include is Kida from Atlantis the Lost Empire! When she takes off her skirt wrap thing before she and Milo go swimming and Milo goes "yeah I swim pretty girl- uh... pretty good" I have never related to something more lmao!
Omg chel also gave me the feels, that scene when they're in the temple and the priest interrupts I was like hey chels hot but also tulio is also I'd like to be in the middle of that, and then religion made me feel bad for wanting to explore that
You gotta check out the game Stray Gods. It's an amazing roleplaying game and it's also A MUSICAL GAME!! Just like any other roleplaying game, as you make choices, the story changes. But what's special about this one is that there's a bunch of amazing songs throughout the game, and you can make choices DURING the songs, changing how it sounds, changing the lyrics, and changing the response of whoever is singing with the main character!! It's very short, between 5 & 7 hours, and it's super fun! Would love to see you playing it!! The story is basically: there are greek gods living among people in secret, when the last muse dies, she passes her power onto the main character, making her the new muse but also the prime suspect of murdering the previous muse. She's got 1 week to prove her inocente, and you do that using amazing songs while learning about the other gods along the way. And also!!!!!! There's a bunch of ROMANCE options in this game!!! You can choose to romance both man AND woman characters, and it's sooo sooo good. Who doesn't want to date a hot greek god? I really would love to see how your knowledge about music affects the way you play the game, and would also love to see who you end up with!!!
Lesbian here. A few of my awakening characters: Elsa, Vidia and Silvermist, Jade from Victorious, Raya and Namaari, Merida, Thorn from the Hex Girls, Daphne from Scooby Doo, Barbie in general from the animated movies, Ella from Ella Enchanted . . . There are so many more those are just the ones off the top of my head.
I watched Sindbad till I remembered all of her lines 😅 I had many of the same ones, but also Esmeralda, Kida from Atlantis and Meg from Hercules. As for singers, it was Shakira for me😂
Hannah I love your story and it mirrors mine so much. I came out as Bi at 34 after spending my entire life telling myself "I just think women are pretty, that's all." (And so many people told me they already knew.)
When I was in sixth grade spider man far from home came out and that was the movie that really showed it, Tom holland and zendaya in one place was overwhelming, but there’s a variety of Disney channel boys and superheroes who I just realized the reason I was obsessed. Also Emma Watson in perks of being a wallflower.
Hey Hannah! I follow your vocal channel and just discovered this one, and I just want to say, as a gay man who's like 99.99 percent gay, Jessica Rabbit has made me question my sexuality more than once so I totally get it 🤣 She's so freakin hot and just her grace and seductive charm are off the charts! Also, Gaston from Beauty and the Beast was definitely one of my huge gay awakenings, despite his insanely mysogynistic and self centered personality haha.
My gay awakening was a very specific scene in Descendants 3 when Evie pulls down the ribbons in One Kiss, it was mainly the expression, that got me since I was only 10 when it came out
ERIS was amazing! Such an underrated villain! The character designer and animators need all the praise. Plus Michelle Pfieffer's brilliant performance.🥰 Also, I love how Rick and Evelyn always come as a pair when it comes to people's sexual awakenings. 😊 For me, it was Richard Armitage as Guy of Gisbourne in the BBC Robin Hood. Black leather, guy-liner, bad guy slowly becoming a good man.😍
Is anyone else having a hard time with the audio on this video? I tried watching it on my phone and it was low quality, choppy, and going in and out. So I switched to my PC and it's the same thing.
I was also obsessed with Emma Watson when I was young but the one where it clicked for me was watching Natalie Portman in Star Wars as a teenager, specifically in the white outfit in episode 2
Sheego was a big one! Also, Cliff and Missy from Bring It On. They're brother and sister in the movie and I was soooo *overwhelmed* by how much i was into both of them
Some of mine included Lucy Lawless as Xena Princess Warrior, Seven of Nine Star Trek Voyager, Rachel Weisz and Brendan Frasier the Mummy for sure (I mean it should have been called the Mummy and the Daddy lol), Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider, Emma Watson, looking back there were so many haha
I started thinking about this bisexual awakening recently too. And we share 2: Shego (Kim Possibel) and of course Evelyn (The Mummy). But what I remember most was Lucy Liu(Charlie's Angels) and Lucy Lawless(Xena). Rewatching these two works now as an adult, I had this "oh, I was kind of gay at that point" moment.
Princess 'Kida' Kidagakash from Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Esmerelda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame absolutely were Disney princess awakening moments for me. Also Carmelita Fox from Sly Cooper. Shego, yes, totally. And way too many others to count lmao
I'm younger than you, so it's a little hard for me to relate to some of these. However, I agree wholeheartedly with your Emma Watson one. I started watching Harry Potter when I was just a little kid, and I consider her to be my first crush. My little crush on her as a baby child 100% helped make me into the raging nerdy lesbian I am today lmao
Later in life come outer too! 🎉 We share A LOT of the same ones (you’re like a year older) and man, had I forgotten about some of these. I too have a thing for redheads and I too literally just dyed my hair red. 😂 Catwoman or any female superhero also did it for me growing up. The big ones for me actually being like “ok. Come on, now.” was River Song from Doctor Who, Sibyl and Mary from Downton Abbey, Amy Pond from Doctor Who, and like a few others.
I'm a bisexual man, but I totally resonate with the experience of being attracted to both members of a TV couple! Beck and Jade from Victorious, and Alex and Mason from Wizards of Waverly Place both really jump out to me as being...formative lol
SO REAL FOR BECK AND JADE🛐💕💕
Omg YES TO BOTH
YUUUUP 😂😂😂
Kimberly and Tommy from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, for me
yesss Jade and Beck were my awakening lol
IVE NEVER CLICKED SO FAST ON A VIDEO
I would have too if I wasn’t at school!!😂😂
ME NEITHER
Okay but same 😅
Omg same
Saaaammmmeee😂❤
I may not be bisexual, but I know Katie McGrath is a popular gay awakening moment, and honestly, I get it.
Me with Florence Pough.....that WOMAN! Ugh. I love that woman
Abso-fucking-lutley
omg stop the comment i just posted was about Katie McGrath 😂
Yes yes yes yes yes absolutly
Growing up in a conservative evangelical home, it never occurred to me until my twenties that I might be bisexual. So happy to see some Susan Ivanova love! OMG. I was obsessed.

THAT ICE BATH SCENE IN STICK IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AN AWAKENING MOMENT IN MY LIFE TOO OMG
It had NO BUSINESS being so hot😭
@daddyhannah That whole movie tho, like the abs on them ladies was ridiculous. Power houses, all of them.
@daddyhannah Also funny story, I saw the trailer for Stick It years before I saw the actual movie because it was on one of our most watched DVD's (remember when we had those before your movies at home? Lol) and once I finally saw it I was like, yes. This is exactly what I expected and more, thank you very much
My audio is like being underwater.😭 Is it just me?
Love you Hannah and wanna hear you as clear as possible💞
Yeah the video is fun but the audio is almost incomprehensible 🥲
@@kaelyhope4961same
I relate so hard with Shego and also the Kim/Shego chemistry haha
Same

I loved Anna from Frozen, Ginny from Harry Potter, Anne from Anne With An E, Amy Adams (specifically Giselle), Demelza in Poldark.
literally same haha like thinking about it now there were others that i was obsessed with to a queer level but Sab was my actual awakening at 15
I think Sabrina’s Carpenter might’ve been one that I didn’t realize was a crush bc I hadn’t figured out I was bi until many years later
Sabrina Carpenter being an awakening is so relatable- I remember thinking she was *so* pretty and thinking I just wanted to be like her. In reality, I actually had a massive crush on her 😂

Growing up watching Avatar The Last Airbender, I totally had crushes on both Katara and Zuko
Girl the TENSION between Shego and Kim Possible was so thick!! Somebody in those Disney writers rooms had a story to tell and we ate it up 😂
Okay so I am a guy who is Bisexual and I love that I was into all of the girls that you pick too, but *also* half the guys from the same series too and was just like "Hm. Why do I think both are hot!? I am so confused!" Man, when I found out the term 'Bisexual' existed SO MANY THINGS JUST CLICKED.

Omg I love Wade, he's such a sweetheart 😁
Love that we're getting all of these amazing Hannah stories from Daddy Hannah!!!
BABE WAKE UP DADDY HANNAH POSTED
Eris from Sinbad, absolutely yes! For me it wasn’t so much a “sexual awakening” as it was a “girls are super pretty” awakening, but I agree with this list, and I would like to add Roxanne from A Goofy Movie. And… 2004 Catwoman with Halle Berry.

Love and support from this aging bisexual musical theatre/Disney/a capella geek from Michigan.
Looking back my first clue should have been my love of Thorn from the Hex Girls... the original version of her from the Witch's Ghost.
The awakening character to me was Xena: Warrior Princess played by the absolutely stunning Lucy Lawless
Oh man, Lucy Lawless and Michelle Rodriguez 1000000% 😅🫠❤️
Same. Always fall for the badass characters.
Both Eris and Marina did something for me as a kid, Sinbad was like one of the only movies my grandma had at her house so I saw that movie a LOT
As an exmo who didn't figure out I was bisexual till I was 29...this resonates way too hard. Especially Shego, oh my god.
You're just genuinely the best! Thank you for sharing this because I totally relate 😂
This, ALL of this 👏 Especially the part about thinking you were just a girly girls girl and looked up to certain women/characters, then realizing later that’s not why you loved them….so spot on
The way I audibly gasped when you said, “the ice bath scene from Stick It.” Oh my GAWD. I had forgotten.
i absolutely love u hannah u’re so real for this and jazmin so true🤭 i would say some of mine were jade from victorious, rory and lorelai gilmore, santana from glee💔 i could go on
I'm 16 so I wasn't growing up when you were but I gotta say I agree with literally all of these. A big one for me personally was April O'Neil in the live action 1990's TMNT movie. Oh and princess Kida from Atlantis and also Captain Amelia from treasure planet.
Jade West in Victorious for suuuuuure
Also Faith from Buffy… basically scary women that can kill me vibes 😅
When you said no Disney princesses made the list I was over here yelling "HOW IS JASMINE NOT ON THIS LIST?!"... I'm so glad you changed your tune on this. There's also one other clip besides the red outfit that's a CORE awakening moment for me ;)
OMG I KNEW IT AS SOON AS YOU SAID DISNEY PRINCESSES I SAW JASMINE IN THAT OUTFIT!!
Eris, Marina, the SIRENS?!!! ALL the women in Sinbad had me questioning myself at the prime age of like 5 lmao
Also all scenes where Lucy used a whip… I have to go fan myself now!
oh man you gave me quite the conundrum of narrowing it down, but i think i have to say Sandy in grease specifically after her makeover iykyk
Girl- when you said Brenden Fraser and Rachel Weiss.... felt. I felt that so deeply oml lord lord
Michelle Pfeiffer in Grease 2 dancing on that ladder is a core memory for me and I still think about it to this day
Hannah’s just in love with the color red lmao
As for singers, it was Shakira for me😂
OH MY GOSH, STICK IT!!! Never seen it included in a list like this, but YES!!
Hannah I love your story and it mirrors mine so much. I came out as Bi at 34 after spending my entire life telling myself "I just think women are pretty, that's all."
(And so many people told me they already knew.)
Cameron Diaz in the mask, Xena the warrior princess, Christina Aguilera, and definitely the cast of the mummy!
Ohk I’m sorry but ja the sound messed up for anyone else. I played other vids on TH-cam and this is the only one.
Hannah… Chel is sooo great. Such a huge part of _my_ bisexual awakening, too! And Lola! Yes! I relate to you and your bisexual awakening sooo much.
Literally every name you’ve listed so far, girl! Yes! 3:51
6:05 The slave outfit! And the way she gets all slinky to seduce him…! Even though I know it’s not right, but… 😅
8:05 The red leather! And the fact she was written as a lesbian in the first draft makes me wish she had been… in that outfit. Sapphic goddesses!
9:59 You are not alone in the Shigo vibes. Total babe.
11:57 Straight people definitely don’t do that, Hannah lol.
THE ICE BATH SCENE OMGGGGG!!!!!! Literally made me realize I was/am queer
Also yes to this entire list PLUS Tie Dye Girl from the Parent Trap (1998 version with Lindsay Lohan and their entire gay relationship plotline)
My gay awakening was a very specific scene in Descendants 3 when Evie pulls down the ribbons in One Kiss, it was mainly the expression, that got me since I was only 10 when it came out
your dua lipa grammys reaction was the most fun i had watching a video
ERIS was amazing! Such an underrated villain! The character designer and animators need all the praise. Plus Michelle Pfieffer's brilliant performance.🥰
Also, I love how Rick and Evelyn always come as a pair when it comes to people's sexual awakenings. 😊
For me, it was Richard Armitage as Guy of Gisbourne in the BBC Robin Hood. Black leather, guy-liner, bad guy slowly becoming a good man.😍
Is anyone else having a hard time with the audio on this video? I tried watching it on my phone and it was low quality, choppy, and going in and out. So I switched to my PC and it's the same thing.
GIIIIIIIIIIIRL I STILL HAVE THE VIDEO KAZETTE FOR SINBAD !!!!!! one of my favorite animated movies when I was young and to this day :)
I was also obsessed with Emma Watson when I was young but the one where it clicked for me was watching Natalie Portman in Star Wars as a teenager, specifically in the white outfit in episode 2
Eris was definitely one of mine! “I kinda want her to be mean to me a little bit.” 😅 SAME!
velma in scooby doo 2. its literally THE ONE SCENE i remember from the movie.
You can’t tell me that Megaera from Hercules isn’t on this list 😦
I second all of these. But the big one for me was Meg from Hercules. That scene where she's first introduced and she flips her hair back. Omg haha
The tree scene from The Last Unicorn. All I'm gonna say. 😅
Don’t forget about Anastasia and
Dimitri!! That was also my enemies to lovers awakening lol
Omg yesssss. 👌 hahah ❤
We share A LOT of the same ones (you’re like a year older) and man, had I forgotten about some of these.
Lucy Liu in Charlie’s Angels was my #1 lesbian awakening. Also Nani from Lolo and Stitch
