To my point of view what is key about gurdjieff teaching is what he calls the call back of the self , instauration of attention from the bouddha , the position of the witness of advaita , all that is pointing toward that neutral observation of one self witch is the beginning and the end of the journey .The way he categorise man from one to seven is interesting according to the level of evolution which really start at the level 4.. I think it is important to remember that all those teaching are maps and the map is never the road .at the end of the day the motto of the seeker should be I want to see in myself what I do not want to see.
