This makes sense if the ego is a non-autonomous, non-sentient process which our “true nature” mistakes for its self. If the ego lives and feels, then our conscious, empathic self will naturally feel the fear of ego death almost by proxy. The good in us doesn’t want anything conscious to die. The purest good in me wants everyone to win and for forgiveness to be supreme.
So: who FEELS the fear of ego death - the ego, or “me”?
All you know , feel , perceives happens through the filters of your ego, this filter creates an illusion of subjects / object .
Void is the gate … for that you have to deeply see that as a thought cannot think , a perception cannot perceive ..
Then you are , and as that you are is never born it cannot die
"has to" "must" etc are ego statements imo
Upon physical death ...? Or upon "losing memory" ?
It is about a disconnect with memory , memory can be used but it does not use you, in fact one could say that awaking is a neural short circuit created by the combination of psychological introspection and metaphysical interrogation
Why? Why even a person starts a journey like this? What's the point?
You say one never really be rid of ego structure (true), but even if he does and succeed, even if one dies before death as your book title suggests, what's the point of all that headache???!!!
All that headache is to understand what is consciousness . The consciousness we know is a consciousness subject /object maintain by identification . Through observing and questioning we can free consciousness from its conditioning ..
And for that we only have , thoughts , feelings , dreams, perceptions as taste, smell, and so on . A part of us is never born and therefore cannot die .. it can recognise itself in the body free from us…that is the point of all that headache ..
@@AlainforgetAuthor it seems like you took some offense towards my statement.
What I mean is this: you say ego never let go; only from one layer of illusion to another one after another; none of them then are more true than another;
In fact, we truly have no way of knowing anything at all because the very tool we have to gain understanding of anything is ego itself. Look, text is not the best way for me to communicate what I mean. This is why I asked you if you could give some time to me. I am genuinely trying to understand. All my efforts so far to contact you however have been unsuccessful.
First , I did not take offense of your statement ..why ? because It is a comedy .
Second , you are right .. the ego witch is all we know , will never know reality as it can only exist in the dynamic subject / object .

To stay light is key as your old system will use trough the intellect all the tricks it can.. your ego will do anything to stay as it is … but it has a weak point .. it is mechanical ..

Believe me I get all of what you are saying. All of it! Deeply. But so what? Then what?
The ultimate goal of knowing a different consciousness or a different part of us is not yet making any sense. There is a big paradox in the ultimate goal. If one starts a journey, one needs to know what the destination is. How sure are you that the "body of light" is not but a different trick of the ego? You cannot be sure logically; hence the paradox. Or maybe you have experienced something I cannot comprehend.
I am only trying to learn. I will contact you separately through the mechanism on your website. I had contacted you before several times but no response.
Of course the body of energy could be seen as an other trick , when you have an object it is suspicious .. take the métaphore of the Russian dolls the body of energy is moving from a Russian doll to an other.. when I say moving it implies time and space so the illusion but from that illusion it is possible to dissolve in unity that is the progressive path as explain in the secret of the golden flowers from lu tsou ..the abrupt path is the understanding that you are absolutely not
And that is the combination of psychological drilling and metaphysical questioning … about thoughts , perceptions , identifications , inside / outside , subject / object ..
Witness is a ego my friend… I see thoughts… I is ego. You need to meet a real Guru to get out of this mess in your head 🙂
Didn't you say in your book that the Ego will always come back and never fully disappear?
