I think scooter is going to use the $100 million dollars to build up a new career in what he's passion about and by doing so he'll become a billionaire again in no time sooner in the orchestra industry he'll be selling out tickets every where making $200 million dollars a year and his cut after taxes probably be $68million dollars a year and in 13 years from now hell be worth $1.010 billion dollars and he will keep performing for another 19 years more he'll probably be richer than Mike Prince of course Mike Prince will probably go into four different lucrative businesses to rebuild his billions dollars back up it won't be $20 billion dollars that is for sure it will probably be $7 billion dollars or $9 billion dollars but he'll never be able to get that $20 billion dollars net worth personally if he does by some miracle reach to a net worth of between $7 to $9 billion dollars he should get on his knees and be thankful he was able to reach that number and live off the interest for the rest of his life

Oh no, there didn't need to be more seasons because the story has been told. Remember, this is cable, not network TV. Billions should have wrapped after season 5, if we are being honest. What makes cable so much greater than network TV is the length. Once it stays too long, it becomes a cheesy soap opera. Loved Billions, but glad it has come to an end.

I'm just genuinely disappointed that we won't get to see the revenge prince takes. I didn't see him as evil, they didn't sell me on it. I feel like he'll get together with some of the loose ends over the show and go to take out Axe. Obviously this would go back and forth forever

@@yourtuber2000 I feel the exact same way! The writers kept their Axe fans-based though alienating the Prince fans. They could have ended with both these titans expanding their own realms of dominance separately. Based on occurrences and logic; once Prince rebuilds his finances, he will invade and dominate a realm which surpasses beyond POTUS (Axe and allies will be destroyed as a by-product not the objective) in the "Billions Expanded Universe".

I don’t know how to feel about the finale. I feel Bobby could’ve shown Prince a little more grace. Prince could’ve had Bobby arrested and destitute, but he allowed him to keep his billions and ensured his safe passage out of the country. Also the rationale for why they wanted to take down Prince was weak. You can’t destroy a person because of what they might do. The writers didn’t do a good job at making us believe Prince was a villain. Prince lost because he’s a good guy, Bobby won because he understands that when you get another shot to take out your enemy you destroy them.

In the end, Prince’s own hubris did him in. He didn’t leave Axe destitute out of the kindness of his heart. He did it to show him that he wasn’t worth killing off. He “little bro’d him” so to speak. Also, he still has 100m. He’ll survive.

    • @zhulacarter2458

like said up a very very bad take.
The whole point of the personnage of Prince wasn't being an actual vilain without looking like one, if you saw all his actions and not just what he said and looked like you could clearly see why he was a really good written vilain, he even succeed at fooling the public with what i am reading in the comment section here.
Now i understand more and more through this why most countries have the politicians that they have. If you become great at pretending you care and look the part no matter what you do people will no see what you are really doing.
If you want to understand why Prince was dangerous you should go back at seaon 1 about episode 10 or 11 where Wendy has a session with Axe when they are walking outside. That there is the stark difference between Axe and Prince and why one was dangerous and the other not really.

That was a huge spoiler IMO; we watched Prince's rapid (unrealistic) accent to the top, so we knew there was going to be an inevitable downfall, hence the printer chucking. The writing in this has been great. However the plot around prince being a ego maniac that is going to end the world and put us in world war 3 or worst was utter bullshit. It simply made zero fucking sense and was forced down our throat with no evidence of it what so ever he was the exact opposite. And i am someone who loves axes character and would want him to get his revenge but the narrative around it simply made no sense. I am dissapoonted in the direction they went this finals season but the execution was nothing short of what they have given us to this point and that is 10/10. There was nothing devious at all. It was obvious from the FIRST EPISODE of the season that Prince was going to lose. And there was no real complexity to his loss - he didn't hurt any of the 'good guys', he didn't force them to make hard decisions, there was nothing bittersweet about their victory, just no real fucking conflict at all. The "good guys" won, and they won completely, and were always going to win, and Prince lost, was always going to lose, and never held the upper hand.
The whole point of this show is the 'cat and mouse' aspect. But Mike is never the cat, he's just the mouse and was always going to get caught. It is the exact opposite of clever or 'devious' writing.

Very predictable happy ending for the majority. I really wanted Prince to be the victor, because I generally didn't see anything wrong with him. The collective Axe Cap team has done more damage to people over time, than Prince ever did at Prince Cap. I saw Wendy and Rhoades more of a villain than I ever saw Prince. The series finale was sublime for me in that it wrapped up so many character issues going back seasons.
Two issues that stood out to me: Chuck finally got his dad’s approval (issue for a lot of men). And I just loved that Wendy and Chuck could sit at a table with kids and just laugh (having a great time). The whole series don’t think there ever was a scene where both genuinely laughed in each other’s company.
Wendy had to leave Axe Global - it was the only way she could have relationships with the two men in her life - Axe and Chuck - without conflict due to being in the middle of the two’s battles.

  • @mvpassi
    @mvpassi 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

It was quite disappointing. They deemed Prince to be the bad guy almost instantly (without allowing us to slowly realise he is evil, but again just like almost every titan in that industry). Then it was too many plot twists to just steal his money, it was very forced and Chuck's aversion for billionnaires was set aside for the sake of convenience. The plot twists from earlier seasons are far more believable because simpler. That's what happens when one show wants to double or triple down on its recipe of success instead of understanding what those ingredients were. Very good show overall, but ending on this kind of tainted the rest. This is not a black and white world and forcing us to root for Axelrod while he was believably outplayed (as opposed to Prince) betrays that vision.

You could argue that if Mike gave up his self-image of being an ethical actor he would have been able to do more damage but the self-image was paper thin and that's why more and more people joined Wendy in her crusade against him.

Logan is such a beast, to the point that i'm not even sure they would want to go up against him at first, but ultimately both of their big egos would allow them to mess with the Roy Empire, which will very likely leave permanent marks. This ending was definitely more about satisfying fans than landing a strong overall narrative.
The way they took down Prince doesn't seem realistic. Not only all the crimes comitted, but by everyone admitting everything to Prince and meeting all together the way they did, it leaves the team open to an easy lawsuit. It was more Shakesperean in it's execution, but Prince didn't feel like an iconic villain. They kept cutting away from exactly why Prince was bad for Presidency other than "nukes are bad and he would nuke", as if we didn't see him constantly be diplomatic (like attempting to broker peace when he thought he won).
Not to say it isn't good to have grey characters, but they clearly wanted us to root for team Chuck and Axe over Prince for the sake of the actors/characters tenure and emotional attachment from the audience. I thought they we're ultimately trying to say "Capitalists should never become Politicians", or "the worst isn't the monster, but the monster who thinks he isn't", but it didn't land. Still better than Game of Thrones for sure though.

The ones who did break the law were the ones who swore to uphold the law. Not to mention they were all complicit in insider trading. Basically what this show is saying that you have no constitional rights if you don't fall in line with certain people. Chuck should be behind bars for good because through the seasons he hurt countless innocent people. It it all boiled down to he didn't like billionaires, but it's OK his daddy was rich and broke the law on a regular basis. A fitting end to this would have been for that new prosecutor in chuck's office to show up with the feds and take them all into custody. That would have sent the message that the Justice system is still in place and criminal behavior will be punished.

Because Prince was a really well written vilain everything about him seem good except his actual actions but most people are fooled and don't actually look at what people do just what they seem to be doing. That is why you never saw him as a the bad guy he really was.
From 10 of billions to 100 millions is worse than being broke, he is litteraly at the level of Wags or his right hand. 100 millions open doors but not just the kind you would want. Even at 350 millions Axe and his wife admit it wasn't enough.
if you want to know why they treated him like he had nothing, watch again all the episodes of billions and watch everytimes Wag was badly treated and try to think if they could do that at Axe.
      Never.
100 millions is nothing at that level, nothing at all. it is little leverage if you want to live in a state like Indiana but if you want to play the World game, you are no one, you have no leverage, no POWER.
Imagine for a moment if your net worth went from 10 miilions to 100 000...you would lose almost all your connections, almost everything you have, you lifestyle would be like night and day. You would still have a roof, a car, food on the table but that is about it.

I'm a little late but here's my thoughts on the finale:
1- I'm a little disappointed because season 6 was a disaster and when they announced that axe will be back at season 7 I was excited but unfortunately this season wasn't that good either.
2- I think the majority agrees with me that the whole idea of Mike being the bad guy and everyone need to protect America from him was ridiculous not only that but they failed BADLY of selling us that he is a monster and deserves to be destroyed like that and that deep enemies like axe and chuck will work together just to end him.
3- after the almost perfect first 5 sessions they kind of destroyed everything they built in this last to seasons on terms of characters development like there is no way Wendy will forgive chuck just like that and have sympathy for him after what he did to her at season 5 and no way axe will forgive Taylor just like that like nothing happened and also the thing that disappointed me the most was after that perfect building of the relationship between axe and Wendy they show it like it wasn't that big deal and the two just moved on like that without a logical reasons.
For me there was only to ways to finish Wendy's part of the series its either she finally finishes what she and axe started and the last scene of the series will be as they both walks out of the company holding hands or something like that or she chooses herself and keep the part with axe open and her last scene will be entering her new company with everyone welcoming her and she is happy and thrilled.
This finale didn't make sense to me at least and was kind of disappointing.

Billions was one of my favorite shows for years until Axe left. Then in a marketing stunt Showtime exaggerated how Big Bobby Alxeord was back for the season finale - he was in like 10 minutes worth of scenes. Huge bait and switch.
